Nnamdipapa:Yes. Vigilante groups exist in every state, often with close ties to local traditional rulers and sanctioned by the government. But there has to be tight controls and the members have to be vetted as well-known, upstanding indigenous members of the community. Unlike the IPOB cultists who simply want to outsource state security to faceless non-entities. |

Obi1kenobi:All igbos are IPOB until Nigeria cease to be a criminal entity employing Boko Haram into military before sending them to Igboland. Our security should be two part, ESN forest guard tackling Fulani forest animals. Local vigilante mounting local road blocks to deal with Boko in and out of uniform. Police should protect politicians and the rich as they already do. |

Obi1kenobi:Your entire Nigeria security have failed. Fulani kidnap at your military checkpoint, which defeats the purpose. The minute you called our people jobless faceless riffraff that was wen i knew u felt threatened that your fulani, yoruba jobs are about to be taken over. Truth be told, the real useless faceless riffraff are Nigeria military that allow Fulani to kidnap our people at their military checkpoint and all this deaths and kidnap all over the place despite their numerious checkpoint. They should all return to their community to provide security, allowing our people a chance to work and earn a living in the communities where they live. . |

U are the oppressor that want the oppressed to be grateful to u. Say thank you very much for making us come all the way to Lagos for cargo we will use to develop the east. Obi1kenobi:Honestly, your attempts at trying to obfuscate issues with your mumbo-jumbo and pseudo-intellectualism would have been laughable if it wasnt all pathetic! You keep going round in circles with each subsequent inane post which always dodges the issues and goes of on a psycho-analytical journey to nowhere! I think your impostor ass needs to be brought back on track and reminded what the issues are: *You claim IPOB is the precusor to the present high spate of insecurity in the south-east...specifically by forming ESN! And i told you this cannot be the case as IPOB existed long before the unfortunate coming of Buhari yet conducted themselves without a hint of violence being linked to them! I told you that IPOB and violence being mentioned in the same sentence only began AFTER Buhari rushed to his office on a sunday in 2017 to sign a proclamation declaring them as 'terrorists'! I dared you, and still do, to provide links to any report linking IPOB to any form of terrorism before said idiotic proclamation was signed in 2017! YOU ARE YET TO DO SO! As is the nature of terrorist organisations, not only are they linked to terrorist acts, but they claim said acts with their full chest! Dude, you cannot take up this challenge of trying to link IPOB to terrorism before 2017 because THERE IS NO SUCH REPORT....IPOB WAS AND STILL REMAINS A PEACEFUL SECESSIONIST ORGANISATION TILL TOMORROW! I reminded you why ESN was formed! That it was a child of necessity when your useless federal and south-east gov'ts of the time were either unwilling or unable to prevent a reoccurence of the mass slaughter of innocent men, women, children, babies and even unbornm foetuses! After the initial cowardly mass slaughter in Enugu state by Fulani herdsmen, Mazi Kanu warned that this unfortunate situation should not be allowed to happen again or else IPOB would have to take matters into their own hands to protect their kinsfolk! ALAS, IT HAPPENED AGAIN, and this necessitated the formation of ESN! ESN was not formed because IPOB likes arming Igbos' just for the fun of it like your daft line of argument suggests! I asked you a question you're yet to answer: had the Igbo in the north in 1966 who were slaughtered for weeks in their tens of thousands, as well as the tens of thousands of middle-beltans more recently murdered and displaced all over the middle-belt....if these people had the benefit of hindsight or a crystal ball to see that their 'trusted and capable' Nigerian security would either not have the capacity to...or not be interested in protecting them, do you think they would still choose your option of leaving their safety and security in the hands of the compromised, incompetent and criminal Nigerian army, police and DSS; or do you think they would have chosen mine and IPOBs option of being proactive and forming a armed vigilante of their own kinsfolk to protect them!? You are so callous as to sit in the comfort and security of your home and tell others to trust the Nigerian army, police and DSS to protect them....and that if they form a vigilante the guns may fall into the wrong hands! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDZOKvFtIRk?si=H8b2VOIm5I17Vn1I Abacha also alluded to the fact that the Nigerian state can have a hand in protracted unrest and insecurity in the country! https://www.facebook.com/dailytimesnigeria/posts/any-insurgency-that-lasts-more-than-24-hours-a-government-official-has-a-hand-in/3905990816114967/ Dude, if when you reply, you cannot state with specific examples, supported by links, of how Mazi Kanu and IPOB promoted violence and how they are a cult group, then it means you're just making empty and baseless accusations you can't defend! You can't pull lies and conjecture outta your stinking ass and expect us to believe and trust that your accusations and tall yarns are the 'truth'! *You claim that it was 'irresponsible of IPOB to form and arm a vigilante group seeing as their arms may fall into the hands of criminals'! Like i've already argued, this is a idiotic assessment of the situation! Every group or ethnicity has the right to protect themselves and ensure their survival in the face of the sheer incompetence and criminality of the Nigerian state! You either overlook or gloss over the fact that WE WOULD NOT BE HERE TODAY DISCUSSING ESN OR NO ESN HAD YOUR USELESS GOV'T BEEN ALIVE TO THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES! Like i told you previously, ANY GOV'T INTERESTED IN GENUINE PEACE WOULD HAVE HANDLED THE DELICATE ISSUE OF ESN IN A DIFFERENT MANNER FROM HOW IT WAS HANDLED UNDER THE ARROGANT AND PHARAOIC BUHARI BOTH YOU AND BUHARI ARE AWARE ESN IS ARMED, AND SOMEHOW YOU FELT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO USE A KINETIC APPROACH IN DEALING WITH THE ISSUE!? HOW STUPID CAN YOU GET!? WHY WASN'T IPOB AND ESN HANDLED IN A SIMILAR FASHION TO HOW YAR'ADUA HANDLED THE NIGER-DELTA MILITANTS!? BOTH GROUPS WERE ARMED AND NON-STATE ACTORS, YET ONE WAS HANDLED WITH A NON-KINETIC AND CONCILIATORY APPROACH AND WAS CONTAINED, WHILE THE OTHER WAS ARROGANTLY HANDLED IN A OVERBEARING, KINETIC AND PHARAOIC APPROACH AND WE CAN SEE THE FALLOUT TODAY....THE BLAME FOR WHICH YOU'RE WICKEDLY TRYING TO PIN ON THE VICTIMS! I'LL TELL YOU WHAT ACCOUNTED FOR THE DIFFERENCE IN APPROACH AND OUTCOME: LEADERSHIP AND SINCERITY OF PURPOSE! ONE PRESIDENT CAME WITH A GENUINE DESIRE FOR PEACE, WHILE THE OTHER ONE CAME WITH A HATEFUL AND VINDICTIVE MINDSET AND A DESIRE TO ANNIHILATE A PEOPLE HE SEES AS 'BENEATH HIM....A DOT IN A CIRCLE'! Like i said, both the Niger-Delta militants and ESN were non-state actors, but whereas the leader of one is being fetted and handed multi-billion naira contracts, the leader of the other is still being illegally held in the hegemonic aliiances gulag! Another reason for the difference in approach to the two similar situations is that the leader of one is Igbo! *You talked of Mazi Kanu being 'violent'! Even then, Kanu's public rhetoric was already violent. The entire stated purpose of his movement was forcing secession through acts of insurrection against legitimately constituted power and he regularly encouraged acts that were supposed to render the country and region ungovernable (called for the death of Buhari and other politicians several times, and called for attacks on police and security forces) as leverage to force some kind of plebiscite to create his Biafran paradise. You see how you're starting the story from the midway point, and not showing the context in which he said whatever you claim he said!? I DARE YOU TO POST ANY CLIP OF MAZI KANU BEING 'VIOLENT' TO YOUR gOD BUHARI AND HIS 'UPRIGHT AND PROFESSIONAL' POLICE AND OTHER SECURITY FORCES!....TAKE UP MY CHALLENGE WHEN YOU RESPOND SO WE CAN SEE THE CONTEXT IN WHICH SAID 'THREATS' WERE MADE! OR YOU EXPECT MAZI KANU TO STILL BE SOUNDING FRIENDLY AND ASKING FOR HUGS WHEN YOU'VE GONE OUT TO MURDER HIS KINSFOLK IN COLD-BLOOD AND ACT AS IF IT'S NOT HUMAN BEINGS YOU'VE KILLED!? YOU'RE ASKING OF MAZI KANU WHAT YOU AND YOUR gOD BUHARI CANNOT GIVE! *You talked of Ndigbo being behind the high spate of insecurity in the south-east. I agree with this assertion to the extent that there are criminals of Igbo extraction just as there are Yoruba or Fulani criminals too! Where we differ is in you not having a nuanced approach to viewing insecurity in the south-east! DUDE, THERE ARE BAD CRIMINALS IN ALL ETHNICITIES, AND YOU MENTIONING SPECIFIC ACTS OF SHEER WICKEDNESS SHOWN BY JUST THOSE YOU THINK ARE IGBO CRIMINALS SHOWS YOUR ANTI-IGBO AGENDA AND INTENT AT DECEIT ON THIS FORUM! What point are you trying to prove....that 'there are only bad criminals of Igbo extraction in the south-east' or what exactly!? I have said the modus-operandi of attackers/kidnappers are a good pointer as to their identity! Hiding in the bushes and coming out with high-calibre weapons to kidnap TENS OF TRAVELLERS AT A GO IS A BRAZEN AND WICKED ACT NORMALLY ASSOCIATED WITH NORTHERN/SAHELIAN CRIMINALS! When the recent one that happened in Enugu was reported on this forum last week, and the usual bigoted/anti-Igbo suspects fell into the thread to start spilling the same tired lines of 'Igbo are killing and kidnapping Igbo because they want Biafra....see the insecurity IPOB is causing in the south-east....ect', i said at the time that given the manner of the attack that the finger of suspicion points to northern criminals, then as expected the usual accusations started being made of me not wanting to confront the 'truth'! Turns out that as reports of the incident started coming in from traditional print and electronic media, Fulani herdsmen/bandits were mentioned as the assailants! I don't need to remind you also of the abduction of the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria and the fact his abductors were Fulani and their leader spoke Igbo! Neither do i need to remind you of the pit dug up in Ama-Hausa in Abia state where a mass grave was found! You either gloss over all these or ignore them completely, and instead find a way to blame IPOB and criminals of Igbo extraction! Such deceit! The Nigerian police fingered South African-based gangsters for the Ozubulu massacre, and Islamist terrorists for the Owo massacre. Witness statements about the assailants from each incident also support both theories. You're free to Google the state of the police investigations in both incidents. I am not personally investigating the case, so no, I won't "corroborate" anything. You're free to believe whatever conspiratorial fictions give you comfort, but every idiot in every village knows that the drug Lord from Ozubulu was attacked by his rival drug gangsters from South Africa. What a cop-out! Here's a excerpt from a 3rd party report on the arrest of the suspects of the Owo massacre. Show us something similar to corroborate your assertion that the assailants of the Ozubulu church massacre were Igbo who flew in from south-africa to target the parents of their rival! Arrestshttps://www.vaticannews.va/en/church/news/2022-08/nigeria-owo-attack-arrest-catholic-church-military-ondo.html I've also not portrayed IPOB as an organization as being the sole purveyors of all the violence and banditry and criminality. They are responsible for the violence in 2 ways that I have repeatedly reiterated:I always like to highlight the part of your rambling and crazed post i think is the most idiotic, and this one takes the prize! ![]() I've addressed ALL the lies your brought up here, but i think this part sums up nicely the fact that your entire unfortunate case lacks substance and merit, and it exposes you for the liar and impostor you are on this forum! I'm under no illusions as to what your mission is on this forum, and as much as i see you as a repugnant individual, these posts are necessary for a lot of naive Igbo to know exactly what we're up against in Nigeria and why history was removed from the curricular in our schools....it's so creeps like you can have the space to try and revise it and tell the story from the 'one Nigerianists'' perspective! ![]() ***** ****** ****** https://allafrica.com/stories/201604260257.html https://dailypost.ng/2024/04/29/many-feared-dead-others-injured-as-herdsmen-attack-enugu-community/ |

Fulani herdsmen are currently holding youth corpers in Enugu...all of a sudden..all is quiet on this thread! where are all the ESN haters when you need them? The same Army that has been relentlessly raiding so-called ESN camps has suddenly forgotten how to conduct raids into the over 300 Fulani settlements all over Enugu state! Our selfish politicians never learn.........Mbah and Otti are busy negotiating their entry into APC so they can secure 2nd terms but whither the collective Igbo interests?.........Patrick MBA's case is worse.....I am yet to see what Tinubu has done for Ndigbo in Enugu! Otti at least has gotten a promise for an airport and the highway from Obigbo to Aba is being reconstructed! Blame Igbo governors for the security mess in the southeast .......their lack of proactiveness and initiative is appalling! Ebubeagu was broached 1 year b4 Amotekun........they armed ebubeagu to fight political rivals and IPOB and left Fulanis to set up more camps in Enugu especially..........let us see if Enugu's much-praised security surveillance and control center is up to scratch! |

ANSMEDIA:This is the quality and design of roads and road network that a state like Anambra deserves! I’m sick and tired of seeing all these half-hearted and local road constructions that are all over the south-east! The only roads that i regard as ok so far in the region are this 2nd Niger bridge roads; the Port Harcourt road in Aba; the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway; and the Enugu-Onitsha expressway! The latter two are taking forever to complete, but you can see they’re being constructed to a much better standard than other roads in the region! |

Victor Ukandu, Awka Diaspora Members of Amaokpala community in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has expressed outrage over the rising insecurity in the state following the kidnapping of one of their prominent sons, Mr. Ikechukwu Okeke. The community has called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to take immediate and decisive action to address the security challenges threatening lives and property in the region. Mr. Okeke, a United Kingdom-based professional and elder brother to Dr. Chukwudi Okeke, chairman of Oxfordshire Cherwell District Council, returned to Nigeria on December 27, 2024, to attend his cousin's funeral and visit his ailing parents. The tragic incident occurred on January 10 at about 7:30 PM, as Mr. Okeke was returning home from the funeral of his cousin, Mrs. Obiageli Okoli. Unbeknownst to him, the kidnappers had been trailing his movements. As he stopped at the gate of his residence, they struck, forcing him out of his vehicle and into a waiting Toyota Sienna, in which they whisked him away. The next morning, the kidnappers contacted his family and demanded a ransom of N100 million. After intense negotiations, an undisclosed amount was paid to secure his release. Mr. Okeke was freed unharmed after three days in captivity. The incident has left the Amaokpala community enraged and questioning Governor Soludo's silence on the deteriorating security situation. As the chief security officer of the state, they argue, the governor is responsible for ensuring the safety of all residents. A visibly shaken Mr. Okeke expressed his trauma over the ordeal and attributed the high rate of insecurity in Anambra and Nigeria to widespread unemployment among young people and the lack of social security. He called for urgent investment in industries and job creation to address these root causes of crime. The Amaokpala community, which holds the Okeke family in high regard, is demanding immediate government action to restore security and prevent further incidents of this nature. They maintain that effective governance and a focus on long-term solutions will significantly reduce criminal activities and foster peace across the state. |

Democratic Republic of Congo summarily executed 200 hardened criminals last week! I am not a fan of the woke criminal justice system........Soludo is the governor let him introduce public execution of convicted kidnappers, armed robbers, and cultists.......................PERIOD The only reason why the death penalty has been suppressed in Nigeria is because our leaders are in bed with people who are known scoundrels and cutthroats........there is no variety of crime these people are not involved in! A Urologist in the Department of Surgery at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State, Dr. Cornelius Onuigbo, was abducted by gunmen on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred at the gate of Onuigbo’s residence in Nnewi as he returned home from work. Witnesses reported that the armed men intercepted him with their vehicle, forced him into it, and drove off. One of the sources said, “The medical doctor was rounded up by some armed men, suspected to be kidnappers, as he was about to enter the gate of his residence. They had a few conversations with him after which they asked him to enter into their vehicle and drove off. “No one knows the reason for the development, although the suspected kidnappers have not reached out to the family, but the family is already making an effort to secure his release.” A staff of the university, who didn’t want his name on print, confirmed the development, saying, “The institution is aware of the incident and we are doing the needful. That is all I can say for now”. The spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, also confirmed the incident. “Yes, the command is aware of the kidnap. We have already mobilised for the rescue of the doctor. The commissioner, CP Obono Itam, has given orders for this, and men of the command are currently at work,” he said. |

Abufo:You don't kidnap people with stones but with guns and a vehicle on major roads. You use the telecommunication system. Yet what was Soludos response to anti kidnapping? Handing out vehicles and a 5m reward. If one is serious about shutting down these gangs Israeli military consultants have the tools to use intelligence to track every single one of these gang members. They have the tools to identify arms movements. But soludo solution is buying pickups and painting agunechemba on them. Professor indeed. |
