You are assuming they were trapped in th mine and needed to be rescued. That's not the case. They refused to come up to face arrest because they were down there illegally. I can't understand why the government was sending them what they demanded instead of going down and have them arrested. It was reported that some were holding the others hostage. Instead of coming up at this stage they are demanding masks and jeyes fluid. How can a normal human choose to remain underground with the dead ..with the stench of rotting bodies ... with maggots? .... isn't down there more like the headquarters of evil?
