Of course, that is obvious. We have a much larger army and the only meaningful airforce in the subregion. Without putting boots on the ground, our air force can decimate our neighbor's military infrastructure in a matter of hours.

To be sincere the Biafrans put a good fight. But then the Nigerian army at the time where a colonial army that had never seen a war so there would be a bit of rustiness. But today’s army have been fighting for 20 years and they are battle tested.

What is the relationship between Airforce response time and Airforce projection capability? Projection capability is a function of range. The question is, can our jets fly from Nigeria to other countries and back without stopping to refuel, assuming there is no ally along the way? The answer is a clear yes.

Maybe 25-30 years ago, during the years of ECOMOG, yes we could overrun any country within 48-72 hrs..
Now? Your guess is as good as mine..

Yes Nigerian military would over run the army in months but cannot win the war as it would just change into guerilla warfare with Russia backing. you should learn from the USA experience in Afghanistan or Israel experience with hamas.

@OP Why would Nigeria Army want to do such?.. do you know the expenses (both financial and human lives) associated with Military OPs no matter the size?.
I remember the debate back then when Buhari sent our Army to The Gambia as part of standby forces to remove their sit-tight leader Jameh from office.

Nigerian army don't have M16 Nigerien does we don't have any chance at all. A military without F15 and F16 is not a serious military formation a country should be proud of. A country still buying and using 1970s aircraft is only going to fight insurgents they can't fight another country with those equipment.

We have DIA, SSS(DSS) and NIA
So we have a chance.

Not just west Africa, but the whole world!
Nigeria will over run India, China, USA, and Russia within 24 hours if they like, and some of these countries we will over run in 10hrs, just like we have over run a stateless, rag tag group of armed group BK since the last 20 years.
Of course we have eliminated BH many times, sometimes with our mouths only, but over running them? No problems.
When you hear about corruption and big for nothing, who do you think they're talking about
