Ever since last year, I decided to do my hair myself, not because I can't afford to get it done or I can't afford to buy a wig, but because I discovered that many of these hairstylists can't handle my natural African hair the proper way.

They'd be subjecting it to too much heat and pulling it from the roots, causing my hair to break and fall out from the roots... My hair was damaged and I was already showing signs of traction alopecia... I had to learn everything from YouTube.
