auto5598:3 options come readily to mind IMO as your situation is a rare exception with legitimate documents to back it up. you can choose to explore all, if anything it shows the urgency of your situation. 1. Send a compassionate email to Lagos office (lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca; abuja@international.gc.ca) reattach the letters from the hospital and social services, appeal to them how prompt processing will help you support your wife emotionally and mentally through her recovery and impending surgery as you have to care for your infant daughter who’s a citizen as she recovers. 2. Your wife should call IRCC and ask for updates, they usually leave a note on your file each time an enquiry is made. 3. Your wife can physically go to the MP office for the district/constituency she lives in (details can be found on google) if she’s able to or call/email explaining her struggles, showing same letters above and requesting that the MP help intervene. They would normally ask her to sign a consent form, then reach out to IRCC on her behalf. All the best baba! |

I'm very delighted for taking out time to explain all of this, frankly I have been broken due to her condition, I had to pay a full time care worker to take care of my 7 month old child. She is due for another operation in March. A very major one, her sickness is bad that initially doctor told me she wont survive as she has 5 % survival but God did what he did and she survived it. Now I already have 2 letters from the Social services and also from the doctor all from the Hospital. Someone gave me a contact for Brampton MP but we don't live in Brampton, so I'll take your advice and ask her to call or meet with the MP of our city. The only fear I have is I used her personal account as sponsor. I also attached my new child birth document . I have written a personal letter of explanation but I learnt the new Ircc portal uses Ai Chinook software which they don't even look at supporting documents. I hope a human will look at my application and grant it. MayorOfEdmonton: |

MsAnonymous:Your valid US visa already qualified you for a Canadian visa, so why did you submit all these documents? |

auto5598:In this situation, you could explore the 3 options previously highlighted, be sure to follow up more on the third option, contacting the MP. Let your Spouse search for the name of the MP in her city, then visit their website and get the official email address. Let your Spouse send the MP an email, stating this situation, a consent form would be sent from the MP’s to your Spouse email to get your application details and they would contact the processing office on her behalf. Best wishes! |

Hello good day everyone, pray all is well. I have a question regarding my sister's application for Canada Visiting Visa. The VFS Biometric has been done since September 2023 and she's yet to receive any form of communication from VFS or the Embassy. Whenever I ask about it, I was told it takes this long and the Embassy has a back up log or something. Please can someone advise if this is entirely true and if there's anything one can do? |

mjsxx13:Did your sister process the visa application herself or via visa agent or Who are you asking? |

angie88:I helped someone order GCMS notes in december after their agent told them the visa was still in process since January 2024. However, the notes revealed that a fake bank statement was used to his application, and he had been banned since July 2024. This person then unknownly applied for a USA visa in october , and the visa officer asked what happened to his Canada application. He responded that it was still under process by canada embassy . The officer then said, 'Sorry, we cannot issue you a visa. |

affoncad:Through an agent and whenever she asks they say the embassy is backed up or something and that there are loads of people waiting 4 years. Now, she doesn't have any details for me to even look into it. This is insane. |

IRCC has heightened scrutiny of visitor visa applications from countries with the highest rates of abuse, based on a new system of fraud detection. Our swift actions have led to an 89% drop in illegal U.S. crossings by foreign nationals in Canada from June to December and a 61% increase in refusals from high-risk countries. Asylum claims by Canadian visa holders also dropped by 18% (from 7,174 claims in October 2024 to 5,832 in November 2024.https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2025/01/canada-continues-to-strengthen-border-security-and-immigration-integrity.html |

mjsxx13:Based on the Canada visa processing timeline, I believe your sister's application has been finalized a long time ago, around February to April 2024. If you know the application details (UCI, application number, and email address), you can track the application through the application status tracker. https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/register If the above doesn't work for you, then order the Gcms note. You can find the process to order a Gcms note on this Nairaland forum. You will need the UCI and the application number to order the Gcms note. I believe you can use any email for this. https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/privacyTerms.do?requestflow=ircc |

different44:IRCC often picks out bank statements that look suspicious and verifies with the bank if they were issued by them. Unfortunately, many agents use fake bank statements, and you cannot expect the bank to confirm issuing a fake statement. Some of these fake statements are even visibly flawed, with many typographical errors . |

Please how I would like to know if its important to attach Police clearance certificate on Visit visa, because there was no request for that on the Portal for Visit visa to include it. So I ignored it. Secondly, I only stated my Company of Employment and document of the company.. Do I need to write a letter to show I'm the CEO? or what exactly? how will they verify it, however I attached the company registration document. How do they do all these Background checks in Nigeria with how the system is .. can someone enlighten me.. Thanks |

Help. I'm trying to sign-in to my IRCC New Version Portal account and the sign-in button is not working. Is there an alternative place for me to sign in? |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by CornOak(m): 3:28pm On Jan 17, 2025 |
auto5598:1. PCC is not mandatory for Canada visitor visa. 2. It's not necessary to write a separate letter to explain you're the CEO. However, you could include these relevant business/work/personal details in your Application Letter/Statement of Purpose. 3. They will check the details of the company you attached on the Nigerian CAC website. Good luck. |

Dear all, Pls I have PR in Canada. I recently applied for my aunt VV but was refused on acct of insufficient funds and the VO not convinced she will return. Fast forward to Nov '24. I applied again but this time with more money in her acct, got a leave letter, and an immigration lawyer helped back it up with some letters. However, we dint attach her expired visas and some other positions she occupied in Nigeria. This only came to mind after we've applied. Pls kindly advice if I am good or otherwise? |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by House34: 3:12pm On Jan 18, 2025 |
Dare002:You can update IRCC with the expired visas via the webform, but the other position is not really necessary since you have already provided a leave letter showing she is employed and will return to her job. However, some documents added after submission may or may not be considered. |
