My mother inlaw submitted iw in august last yr, she was scheduled for interview in October but we missed d mail. Now we hv sent several emails but no response. Pls wot do we do?

Did Dropbox and got a 221g email few days ago
No message sent regarding my passport pickup and not been able to reschedule appointment to attend the 221g interview through ‘reschedule’ on AVITS.

Please have you been able to pick up your passport while waiting to attend your 221g interview ?

Also, please how were you able to get an appointment through the ‘reschedule’ using the same visa fee you initially paid?

Anyone who has scaled through this phase, please help 🙏🙏
@niksie passport says ready for pick up this morning, I couldn’t reschedule before then created a ticket on Avits, they replied that the reschedule’ll pop up soon , waited a few hours logged in again then rescheduled for Abuja because that was what was available, the next morning I checked and saw lagos so I changed it

Please I need your guidiance.

I made the MRV payment at a First Bank brank since December 20, but I have not been able to proceed to schedule an appointment on the AVITS platform. Whenever I enter my amentum number on the bank deposit details page, it tells me "Bank details updated successfully" and takes me back to the page to enter the same details again. I really need to pick a date first, then, hope for a closer date. I have raised tickets to this effect and I was told the issue has been escalated to the Support Desk, yet, no resolution.

Also, I have been following the conversation here but I don't seem to understand something. I chose Lagos when I created my DS-160 form and was making payment. I want to change my location for the visa interview with the hope of being able to get a date that is closer. Is that possible, please? If yes, how do I go about it, please?

Purpose of trip was vacation


Now it’s January 2025 and I wanna travel for another vacation again. Would this raise red flags at the port of entry ?

I’m actually honestly going for vacation

I’m rich and don’t work for anyone. So I can afford my trip.

Would the immigration officer assume that I’m traveling or visiting the United States too much??

Only applies to IMMIGRANT visa. Not applicable for non immigrant and student visa.

You mean I should fly to Mexico first before flying to United States?

Also, I don’t need visa to enter Mexico, a US visa is valid to enter Mexico

I made MRV payments for my son and I since October 29, 2024 and I am still unable to proceed to book an appointment.
It tells me Bank details updated successfully and yet no progress.
It's been nearly 3 months of frustration.

Do I create a new profile and upload the payment details, will that work?
Can I get a refund and restart again?
This is over N700,000.
Please I need urgent guidance.

Good morning Everyone...please I want to ask one questions here. My aunty is travelling for a conference around Feb I guess and agent is helping her to filled her form. Now according to her the agent have collected appointment date for her for February this year and she started filling her form last Dec and jan.

As I heard no early appointment date for February except emergency date for medical.
My questions is:

1. Is the date for appointment real?
2. Is there anything like buying appointment for US visa?

because my aunty is so desperate not to listen to me when I told her nothing like that. Please I need good answer bikonu. Thanks

the avits people hv frustrated me since October, with my old gt bank payment and rescheduling a missed appointment, (no valid receipt found for this application error) am seriously considering making a fresh payment so I can move on....ayam absofuckinglutely tired

I wanted to share my timeline and ask for insights from others who’ve experienced this process recently.
• Document drop-off date: Dec 20th
• Case created date: Dec 23rd
• Case last updated date: Dec 27th
Status still reads Application Received
I’m scheduled to return to the U.S. on January 17th,but I’m still waiting for my passport from the embassy.

Has anyone been in a similar situation recently? How long did it take after the last case update to receive your passport? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
