This is why I'm in love with some of the United States policies, but in Nigeria it is the other side of the coin. Our government is proudly selling the country to the Chinese government. If this is not true, check out how they threat Nigerians working in Chinese owned companies.

Why should Americans vote against it? It's certainly in their national interests and also 100% logical. The American government is justified to ban Tiktok, given all the points listed.

United States is not too stupid in the name of woke, like Europe. They know when to draw the line especially when it affects them their future.

China won't tolerate it if the reverse is the case, so why do you want US to accept it

You really understand what's happening between the two countries unlike some contributors here saying something else.....it's not US been afraid of competition but on data secrecy and toleration.China hasn't open up to the world but always wanting to penetrate the impenetrable, always wanting to have more of every countries while keeping your own data dousier locked up within your country. China is a very secretive country and nobody in the world can estimate the data of their nuclear weapons armaments or the theory behind their space exploration and expansion but always seeking to know from the western world.

Truth is there's no way it can move forward when most phones are android and Apple. Android users might have their way by using other store like apkure but isn't the same for Apple.

Tiktok can access the data of its American users and use ut for nefarious purposes.

China is an adversary of the US. China too bans FaxeBook, X and many other apps

India bans Tiktok because they aren't too chummy with China.

China's economy isn't in good and might remain that way for years to come.
