[sub][/sub] Antoeni:Even if this area is placed on Band z on electricity tarrif, which is not possible ,someone will just steal 40 meters of heavy armored cables... Even to cut the cables is no small work ... Talkless of deenergizing the power cables... And all this will happen without a trace.. Then we play too much in this country .. if this is true... ![]() |

fitinwell:Exactly to steal such a cable for an area that most has steady electricity is unbelievable. they would need heavy tools, gas welders or other cutting apparatus to cut it, then deenergizing it is the part that tells that it must have an insider in on it. Na arrangee work be this |

But why continue to pay salaries to personnel of Nigeria Police Force? Without Police collaboration, vandalis can't do the stealing. |

RenaissanceGuy:If you're ever opportune to visit someone at the Aso villa, maybe your HOR member or Senator, you'll realize that generators don't run inside the villa. Electricity supply there is on a 24-hour basis, so even though generators are budgeted for and bought annually, they're hardly used. |

We need Nigerian secret service deployed to catch these perpetrators. Some of these vandals could be TCN employees giving these vandals information as to the location of the cables, how to avoid being electrocuted and where to sell these cables. DSS should pose as buyers of these illegal cables and see how the sellers get their products. Could lead them to an organised network of criminals. It smells like organised crime that isn’t going away anytime soon. Once there is an eye on a suspect, police and secret service should take their time, secretly monitor him/her and see if there are other people involved. Our secret services should learn how to bide their time on criminals, vandals, kidnappers and terrorists, so that once raids are conducted, it result to many leads across the criminal chain, and the criminals are rooted from the stem. It’s not beyond the capacity of our secret service if they are well trained, motivated and disciplined to work. |

Security forces should be given powers to shoot vandals in the act. TCN should put warning signs across all their installations that vandals would be shot by security forces in the act!! |

Hmmmm... Make them talk another story. Is it that there was power outage when the cable was stolen? Or they are saying the cable was cut when it was still energized for a 132KV Line? How did the vandals dug a whole 40m cable long from the ground without being caught in Central Area? Abeg make them talk another story |
