Hello great people,
Please from your experience, do you think that having a Canadian TRV might help boost one’s chances in getting PR?

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by SemperFid: 9:36am On Jan 20, 2025
Pls house, does anybody know what the cut off for the next draw will be? I have a crs score of 462, what do I do next?
How do I go about the PNP? I mean how do I make myself available?
Do I just stay idle like I've been staying and the PNP will work out for me like I'll be selected?
My NOC is 31111 and I've been doing same job for 5 years.
If I marry girl with same NOC will it increase my/our crs and our chances?

Please can i email you on how to get ICAN to send my details to WES or do I need to visit ICAN office ?

kunleos:
Okay. When i filled out my application
I put that it was awarded by “ICAN” (in full) and the credential as “Accounting Technicians Certificate “ and the Canadian equivalence is a 1 year college-level certificate.

PS - I did mine in January

I received my Biometrics Instruction Letter but I am not available to make it within the 30 day deadline as I am stuck at sea working onboard a ship.

Will I book an appointment first with VFS and then use the we form to seek for extension?

Please can you advise step by step on how to get the extension

Hi,

Is there mails(courier/cargo) that go back n forth the ship? I’m asking cos I had same situation few years ago, was stuck offshore when PPr landed and I just mailed my passport back to land c/o a friend who couriered it to VFS.
Alternatively send a webform explain your situation, attach proof if you have (e.g ships manifest when you boarded/daily head count)& request for an extension to submit when you’re back onshore.

Ayolayemi:
Hello house,

please i need guidance on my PR path, i recently entered the pool and my score is 404 which i think something is wrong cos a friend of mine with similar qualification has 465.
I am 27 years old
I have 5 years working experience
I have both BSC and ATS result which qualifies as 4 years and 1 year education in Canada.
The only difference with my friend is IELTS, she has 8 in Listening, 8 in Reading, 7 in Writing and 7 in speaking with an overall of 7.5
while i have 8 in Listening, 7.5 in Reading, 6.5 in Writing and 7 in Speaking with an overall of 7.5
I am thinking the issue is my IELTS result

Can anyone shed light as to why we have a different score in the pool even though we have similar credentials and experience

And what can i do to boost my score.

Thanks
@Ayolayemi @ednut1 @Kunleos good day and how are you?

please how did you fill or what did you select for the specific columns when Evaluating your ATS certificate with WES:

- Type of Education : There are 6 options, please which did you select for the ATS evaluation - University Education; national diploma and higher national diploma education; Teacher training colleges; colleges of nursing and midwifery; Professional Education qualifications; secondary education.
- Name of the Institution: Was this where you indicated in full "Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)"
- Name of Diploma/Certificate: Is this where you filled in "Accounting Technician Scheme"? or was it "Association of Accounting Technicians". Please what did you specifically write in here.

Please can you guide me imminently, the previous conversation on this topic is not clear and I can see that you got awarded. It just says, you filled ICAN as awarding body and ATS as credentials but no mention of the type of institution as that information is needed to complete the WES application.

Please my application for ATS WES evaluation has been rejected before because I did not fill out the respective columns above correctly. Can you please guide me? Please refer to screenshots attached

Thank you.
