Over the past few days, Nigeria's Muslim Rights Concern Group MURIC has made series of Press release over the approval of HRM Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo.


If you hadn't followed the development leading to the approval of the Kingmakers recommendation, you would think that MURIC is a political party on whose platform Gbadegesin contested an election.

The aggressive attack against Governor Makinde by MURIC gives some credibility to the allegations that MURIC worked for and was the conduit pipe for some external vested interest who tried to install their choice on the ancient and respected throne of one of Yoruba most important traditional institutions.


Governor Makinde should not waste time in prosecuting all the bribe taking thieves.

He is just advocating for political Islam, the type that is banned in UAE and practiced in Afghanistan. He lost because Southwest leans towards progressive UAE as against Core Northern Nigeria that prefers Afgan strict Islamic rule.
