I think they actually went to kidnap him and it went wrong.
It has happened before. Two mobile police men in casual clothes went to kidnap a woman at Independence layout Enugu few years ago and it went very bad, they claimed that they came to arrest the woman.

If those EFCC guys had succeeded, this so called yahoo guy would be calling his family and friends to help with the ransom payment.

If the gun is registered and has a food lawyer, he will walk away. The only only issue is how did he get the gun and what he does for a living. Efcc won't want to let go of the issue. They will look for means to nail the suspect. But how can a security agency operate at dead of night. The suspect might think it is cult clash because mosg gee boys are into game
