How come saint OBJ didn’t remember the rule of law when he was leveling Odi and Zaki Biam. What about the extra constitutional methods he devised in removing some governors and senate presidents ??

How about states that don't generate power but they are enjoying power from Kanji dam and other power stations in Nigeria?




Wisdom is profitable to direct. There are some events that happens, it takes wisdom to enact enabling law to permit it to live cos it is good.

OBJ should have done exactly what BuBu did to the power sector asap then.

Now that the FG isn't ready to shoulder that responsibility alone, Tinubu/Buhari et al has enacted laws that allow states to generate, transmit and distribute their own power. State governors should start building power stations now.

If all state where forced to build a power plant at 700megawatts each we won't be having problems there will be jobs all around the country. But because some people want to sell generators we all should suffer. They know how to buy the best cars in the north and use planes to get it delivered to them but can't invest in basic infrastructures.

Attah said he was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the time so Obasanjo’s disapproval wasn’t about party politics but about a faulty federal arrangement.

It wasn't about Obj the individual rather the existing law at that time.

As the President, he swore to obey the constitution.
What subsequent Presidents did was to amend the law.

Government officials are elected to uphold the law; Obasanjo did what the law stipulated. Now that the law isn't working, the new government amended the law. It's as easy as ABC

Obasanjo lack foresight, he should have amended the law to allow state generate electricity and distribute. It would have been healthy competition among governors then and that would have been the best. If twenty states have generated 500 mega watt of electricity, that would have amount to 10000 MW as at that time plus the already generated one. The country would have been more industrialize by now.

Did you read the write up at all?

Obi put a new law that states if you generate your cannot distribute. He did this after the governor completed the project and even after he - OBJ went to commission the plant himself.

Obong Victor Attah had 3 Senators from his state.

Did he ask them to help him?

Did he lobby the legislature?

Don't put this on OBJ. It cannot stick, because there's nothing OBJ could have done in this case.
