Please can someone enlighten me, how do they conduct background check on visit visa when Police clearance isn't required, I was about to submit a Police clearance but no provision for that.. so my Question is how do they now conduct this check? and for PR background check it is the same with normal visit visa background check.. Thanks
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ikiloba: 4:29pm On Jan 18, 2025
The background check is just to see if you have applied for other countries visa like UK, Ireland and United States and have being refused and you didn't declar it on your application and also to check if you have being deported from those countries or serving bans and also aslyum... so the background check has nothing to do with local police info bro..

Through an agent and whenever she asks they say the embassy is backed up or something and that there are loads of people waiting 4 years. Now, she doesn't have any details for me to even look into it. This is insane.
Obviously, the agent is hiding something

I would like to know what it means when Background check is " in progress" do people who receive there Visa get this sort of info? Does it mean it would take longer to process?
This shows they are still working on your application, you will get notice when they are done

So she is a PR holder , she's not a student, she works as a professional Project manager in a company. All her medical surgeries are insured and we don't pay a cent.. it's free.. I would have applied earlier but that was when Nigeria had passport issue and it took time for me to re-new. Again how does this expedited process work? I didnt see it from the Application, I only saw Visit to take care of loved one and I clicked on it..
You have a higher chances of visa approval for you

Good evening everyone!
I got my TRV since Mar 2024 and haven’t used it to travel yet. I decided that I want to go through PR. If I go ahead to apply for PR, would they raise eyebrows because I didn’t use the visit visa?

As a licensed private investigator, I always recommend a proactive approach to protect your interests. Before committing to any transaction or agreement, ensure you obtain and review all documents involved in the process. Hiring a licensed investigator to verify the authenticity of these documents is a small investment that can save you significant time, money, and stress. This step not only safeguards you from potential fraud but also holds agents accountable, ensuring transparency and professionalism. Don't leave things to chance

Can some experienced advice me, My kid brother forgot to declare his UK refusal 20 years ago ( 2005) before the biometric era and he applied for Canada Visit Visa with me and didn't' mention it in the Canada application. What can he do at this time to salvage this? or he should allow it to his faith? I told him Canada share record with 5 eye countries but for he's case I don't know.. I will appreciate a response.

Hi bro, can you please check my latest post, I'll need your advice ok? many thanks
Ikiloba:
Without properal evidence to prove they are in a real relationship the spouses sponsorship application would also be rejected. They need lots of evidence to prove they are in a real relationship.if possible get your spouse pregnant when she visits that's the best way to prove you are in a marriage and other marriage evidence... I know people who are in real marriages and there application are also rejected..

The United Kingdom introduced biometric data collection for visa applicants in Nigeria in 2008, and he applied in 2005 . Biometrics are used to match and identify individuals so he should be ok!

Pls when does processing time start counting?

Was it the date you submitted your application or the day biometric was updated?

Thank you..
Your Canada visa application processing time starts on the day that IRCC receives your complete application, including your biometrics.
