Yashita:why is your installer not attending to you ? But from the mere fact you mentioned such a low quality battery as starPlus, coupled with the fact you complain of low output, tells me dem don run you street and you probably have stopped pumping out more money for said installer to continue coming. See eh, that battery na rubbish. What makes you think even the Solar panels are close to average. Well if you're in need of an installer, you might have to state your exact location (Lagos no be street address) so those closest to you would respond. Would have asked you share pictures of the Solar panels, Charge controller (if dedicated), and even inverter but no need. Person wey him cloth dirty, you need not wonder how clean the panties would be. |

bassdow:Hopefully, the broken Solar panel is excluded from the installation sha |

kristien4:if you creative enough, you could turn a standard stabilizer to wall based. A mobile phone whose selling point is having powerBank capability, hardly gives you reward for your money |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:54pm On Jan 18, 2025 |
Dharyhor:why not fix them, rather than buying yet another one ? And try avoid the fancy ones. |

bodeface:See eh, a lot depends on quality. Some chargeControllers, rated 60amps struggle at 40amps loads while another rated 40amps would handle that 40amps without feeling it at all. You get what you pay for all |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dharyhor: 5:31am On Jan 19, 2025 |
bassdow:I've tried that, the repairer couldn't fix it |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 5:55am On Jan 19, 2025 |
Dharyhor:Most times, rotation issues is caused by bad gear (often made of plastic) teeth. You would know if it tries to rotate it's head, but stop along the way. Could you confirm what you observe. Most times, just saying something doesn't work, without throwing more light as to what you actually observed, doesn't help much. Also have you tried another repairer ? Wonder why they can't fix it. Can't say the motor is bad since it's controlled by same motor which rotates the fan blades and since you haven't complained the fan blades are not rotating, means the motor works well. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 5:58am On Jan 19, 2025 |
kristien4:Except you figure out reason why it went bad, you risk running into same issue again. Could be due to low quality, factory fault(s) or something within your installation. |

mangolpupa:Since all INVERTERs are not created equal, then no way the ChargeController component would be equal, among and across brands. Except you buying a standAlone, dedicated chargeController, you get what you get. and who told you that all (or most) hybrid inverters contains MPPT chargers ? See eh, even among PWMs, there are levels. Let alone MPPT. Majority comes with PWM with varying degree of quality and performance. |

mctfopt:when you run a Mikano generator on a load small enough for a small Tiger "I Better Pass My Neighbor" generator, of course it works well BUT don't expect fuel consumption to be same as what the small Tiger generator would use. |

mangolpupa:Except you're a TESTer, why keep moving from brand to brand if you've got a couple that serves you above average already ? Una sha get money Ooo |

bassdow:Wow 😮 thank you for this explanation. Please which high quality wet cell battery would you recommend for me? Also, which product of solar panels are the best to use? I think the ones I bought are ‘Dana’ product |

Yashita:it's too early or late to ask such questions. Would suggest first looking for someone who knows what they're doing. Let said person examine what's currently available, then decide on what needs be done taking consideration of available resources. |

So I finally got the Junctek KMF device to monitor my battery away from home. Arrived Nigeria, I installed it yesterday and it's working flawlessly. It's connected to my house WiFi and I can be in Zimbabwe and know what's happening at home to my battery solar setup. A feature I wish it had is a log to show me how much I've generated or consumed in a day or week or month or year. Nice product.

Obnoxious2001:It brings the code randomly and not even when charging, it can come up when the battery is even at 60% and when we restart, it becomes normal again. After some hours same thing reoccur |

bassdow:I can't trust a 3rd party am not familiar with who would probably be suggested by the buyer ( because I know no escrows) A 14yr NL account should speak enough volume for itself. If I can't be trusted, it's best I wait for buyers from benin or buyers arrange deal through a person who he/she knows in my city Unless escrow is in my city! |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:32am On Jan 20, 2025 |
tonididdy:hmm See eh, both BUYer and SELLer have got every right to have trust issue(s). Now you don't want to trust and take the risk; but you expects the other party to do so. Also, don't know who told you guys the age of an account should automatically be considered as trust Worthy. Let me stop here |
