But who stays home with the child? Some parents put these kids in creche to help with their speech and social interraction. Please give women a break. If we sit at home, liability. Very irritating bunch. Mothers of majority of them didn't even take them to daycare or creches, they were dumped in neighbours houses while the mothers went on with their daily hustle. Just because they were lucky to have survived, they're suddenly experts in parenting. Some of my earliest memories were from daycare before entering nursery school. Both my parents worked and would never want to burden neighbours who were stay at home mums with 2 additional kids even if they had the opportunity.

On Gen Z mums
I've been hearing about daycare tragedies since I was a kid in the 90s. Before Gen Z mums were born or when they were still tiny tots. Enough with all this claptrap about gen z mums. Grandmothers before them used daycare services or it's equivalent when they were younger

No that's not it! They're at the final stage of grief which is acceptance. You people won't rest in this mission to diminish and belittle women and mothers, it's beyond disgusting at this point. I've been with 2 different women who lost their children to illnesses and I saw how they started interacting as at the 3rd day post grief. One of them explained to me the feeling is indescribable, the hurt is still there but they just had to forge ahead for themselves and remaining children.

You expect bereaved mothers to be rolling on the floor and screaming in agony for days unend to show they were attached to their deceased children? Tell me you're daft without telling me you're daft

Creche, prenursery, nursery is all waste of money.

I spent my time reading comments here, and all I can do is smh.

Some people in their quest to throw blames (as usual) will suddenly lose their sense of reasoning. And talk as if they're far removed from reality.

How can you blame the woman for sending her child to "School" (of course any sensible person should know without being told it's a creche run by the school).

We all know that maternity leave is 3-6 months in most standard organisation. Even Federal Government that used to give 6 months maternity leave for their staff reduced it to 4 months max.

After 6 months and the mother has to resume work what do you expect her to do? Many organisations will not allow you to come to work with your baby.

So the solution is to get someone to look after your child at home while you're at work (and we all know it's difficult to find a good person these days)

Or you take the baby to a Creche (run by most private Schools).

If you say she should resign so she can take care of her child 24/7....then you'd have to consider the impact losing one source of income would have on the family.

Can the husband handle becoming the sole provider with added responsibility? In this economy?

The only women that may not need to send their 2y/o to creche are those that are self employed, those that work from home, those that have a trusted and capable relative or house help who will faithfully take
care of their child. Or full time moms.
