1. What's Nigeria official language?
2. Yes , he not an Englishman, but I believe he attended primary , school or higher institution. Was he taught in those schools in Yoruba language?
3. Lets assume , he has difficulties in English.. what's stopping him from hiring a translator?
4 any Nigerian that pass through primary , secondary and tertiary institution in Nigeria. And can't speak basic English language. That person or persons need to be beaten publicly.

The result of the later day "promote everybody free education" system. Awo's own was merit based. If you couldn't cope with secondary education, the commercial schools and technical colleges (known as trade centres then) were there as an option. Even a Pry 6 school leaver of old could write and speak well.

Very sad indeed!

Not just Yoruba....every Nigerian language should be freely spoken and accepted as official communication in the National Assembly with state effort to ensure interpretation to all and sundary.....if you don't understand a person 's position ask and observe.
