oshiokpu:Majority argue based on what they know and refuse to learn. That is @op's problem. The world has gone beyond a 9-5 work with bla bla bla degree. Op should know that people that work remotely evade tax and don't wait for government or one company before they hit a gig. Learn ok. My oga in the business I work with make more than 3m monthly on legit online business without company's salary. When you open a thread, allow people to suggest and not tackle every opinion with ignorance. God be with us all in our chosen profession. In all, stay legit. |

ogascomax:Forget Oil Companies. How many people are they employing? I remember when I was in University and a lady who had a friend working at Shell, Lagos asked me where I wanted to work after graduation. I boldly told her Oil Company. Fast forward to after graduation, they were calling me to send money to the private companies they established. They didn't even help me get job in an Oil Company. People that work in Oil forms dont help others so u don't come and earn huge money like they do. |

There are companies in Nigeria paying 1m+ to young Nigerians. I have 2 friends working in such. One an oil company (expected), the other a financial services firm. I can't even remember the name of the firm as it is. These people were my inspiration to seek better income as a young banker years ago. They were already in their early 30s at the time and I am sure they were getting 7digit incomes. There are some coded companies in Nigeria that you would never know. Rendering bespoke services across industries. It is when you network you will hear of firms outside your regular IOCs and banks. |

No company in Nigeria can pay such except you are top management in banking, oil or big conglomerates in Transcorp, etc. No bank CEO in Nigeria earns less than N12m monthly. The women heading Transcorp, Zenith Bank etc are all earning close to N20m a month. You really need to be close to the company headquarters from the get-go to position yourself to be such an earner. Bar this, the only way out is to earn remotely from foreign companies. Or you own your own business. Or combine both. |

Nazgul:Your stand is really more realistic than the guys attacking you. The cost of running a business in Nigeria today is just not encouraging. I run on solar I have not bought fuel or diesel 2 months, yet inflation and crazy price fluctuation not allowing for maximum profit. |

Going by comments here, many Nigerians are liars and they claim what they are not! Mr. president was really right when he said Nigerians live fake lives. |
