Have you forgotten Huawei? If Tiktok is banned in the US, don't you know Playstore and Appstore will remove it from their stores. Appstore and Google play is a US company, and will face a hefty fine if they don't remove it from their stores. So yes, without US approval, Tiktok is worth zero.

Within that period yesterday it was banned, you cannot update Tiktok or even download new one?

Before they lifted the ban yesterday, download and update was already suspended...

Tiktok will only be available to download on only Huawei phones. That would have been the end of Tiktok if the ban was not lifted

Maybe you will buy a Huawei phone you can use to download and update your Tiktok because if US ban it you won't see it to download or update on Playstore or Appstore. Update and download was already suspended yesterday until the ban was lifted.

US owns both Playstore and Appstore.

The only possibility I see is for them to hyper inflate net worth and wait for a dumb person like Elon Musk yo come buy it.

It’s 100% certain that if the sale is triggered, the user base will decline in the US and that company will lose more than 70% of its value.

The ban was a good test run. RedNote became the number one downloaded app in the US and Meta shares started crashing.

I knew it would end this way. Following the supreme court ruling would have been so disastrous for the US users. Tiktok, unlike meta platform would reward you for participating in any of the interactive live events on their platform so, it's a win-win. Tiktok makes money, the host makes money, likewise the participants. People have become millionaires by signing up on Tiktok unlike the meta platforms. YouTube doesn't even reward as much as Tiktok does. Me wey be say na Tech live events I dey join, tiktok rewards me regularly.

But 50% ownership go hard oo. How many percentage does China have over meta to begin with?

Huawei is still among the biggest phone manufacturers. A lot of business happen outside US influence. If you don't see new models of Huawei phones in your country it only means that your country is still one of US satellites
