Don't doubt there are people earning over 1m here. Even with Astropay's shitty exchange rate of $1475 - $1, A million naira is just around $678. For me, I earn mine from social media accounts selling and smart sports betting. I've seen people (although not Nigerians) making over $40k yearly just from selling social media accounts or doing smart betting. The major setback is that you are at the mercy of the greedy bookmakers, and rogue social media managements. I can make over 2m naira in 30 days, with a single 1xbet account, but will 1xbet allow me? The answer remains NO
I am quite surprised to hear this....
I make at least 3m every month on bet9ja from sports betting...since 2021 (emphasis on the word AT LEAST)

Maybe it's time u dump 1xbet

Or maybe the 2M u are talking about is in dollars

Just so you know there are people in Nigeria who earn a monthly salary of over 5million a month and these people are not even the Managing Director of the company where they work!
I saw a job ad willing to pay over 7 million a month yesterday. I didn't believe it.

No company in Nigeria can pay you such amount monthly unless your business is recording a tremendous amount of success or you're earning in USD.

That's the only way you can hit the 1m mark monthly.
That was not the core aim of the question or thread. You are answering a question that wasn't asked. Are there companies that pay a N1M per month salaries in Nigeria? Yes. The question isn't centered on whether the companies are indigenous owned or MNCs.

There are many companies that pay such as salaries to employees in Nigeria. Most notably are oil companies, banks, professional services firms, investment banks and tech as the new kids on the block.

Pre-Corona as my job focused on graduate trainee positions.

Royal Dutch Shell paid 600-700 abi 800K per month. Addax paid close to a million. ExxonMobil paid above a million. Total paid two million. Banks paid well too especially to graduate trainees. Access was noted for paying 250K per month while STANBIC IBTC paid 300K. Audit firms paid very well, and once those trained by the Big4 moved to oil companies, they earned almost or above a million. FMCG companies paid similar earnings to brand managers. Vetiva was paying graduate trainees 250K - 300K. Now imagine how much managers were earning.

How I wish I kept an Excel track of the salaries. Well, post-Covid, salaries cannot remain the same due to inflation and the Canada exodus which made the audit firms increased their salaries to either retain staff or attract new staff. As I asked my friend who works at UBA, this is what she gave me:

New GT bank Salary

ET- N452k ,

ABO- N720k

BO- N900+

SBO+ N1M+

New FBN Salary

ET- N372k ,ET Tech -N523k

BA- N 497k BA Tech - N713k

ABO- N618k

BO- N900+

SBO+ N1M+

UBA Salary

ET- 376k

ABO- 558k

BO- 800-850k

SBO - 1M+

Federal establishments such as CBN, AMCON, DMO, NIMASA, NNPC paid very well with some staff, senior employees, earning more than a million.

P.S. All salaries exclude bonuses.

Check your evidences below

Nazgul:
Name the company that pays such. Nigerian owned company. Most of you guys on this site make claims you can't defend.

If you must know, most entry level jobs in Nigeria today range from between 150k-200k

To even earn 500k sef you'll have spent a considerable number of years and gained relevant experience.

Una go just de argue for nothing.

How many Nigerian owned companies have declared sustained profit in the last 3 years that they want to pay their staffs 1m and above?

You have worked for all Nigerian owned companies in Nigeria?

Or you audit their books?

Or you think all Nigerian owned companies are unstructured one man businesses?

Same here, almost all my accounts were reduced to betting below #1000, even with other bookmakers, I just decided to stop because their frustrations was too much

They did it to me, they will even reduce the odd on your account and limit you to bet below #1000. The odd in your account will never be the same as others

Usefulsense:
I did my national youth service in 2002. I completed the program in December 2002 in Taraba State. I served in state primary education board then.

I got my first job in May 2003 and my starting salary was 15,000 naira only.

Fast forward to July 2022, my salary was 1,013,000 naira net per month. I was on this salary up till December 2023 when I left Nigeria for Australia where I currently reside.

How did I grow my salary from 15,000 in 2003 to over a million net per month in 2022?

1) Don't work for a company for too long. Working for a company for more than 5 years is a waste if time

2. Keep developing yourself. Extremely important.

3. Be good at what you do.

4. From the day you resume in a company, start planning when to quit.

5. Again, ensure you're good at what you do. I don't mean speaking big grammar with Queens English. I mean, understand the nitty gritty of your chosen career.

6. Whenever I negotiate salary, I always negotiate net. I don't negotiate gross. I leave your HR to determine that. They way I will answer your questions during interview specifying clearly what I will achieve within the first 6 months, will make you appoint me.
Thank you sir..
Only response that made sense so farr grin grin

Starting is the most difficult... Our company shut down during covid and the pressure to go to another company came from left and right but I refused. Went broke for 4yrs and now started a tiny online business. I cant believe when I look at my opay monthly transactions, I see 500k +. I still can't believe it. Hoping to hit 2m per month soon to beat the threshold of tinubunomics
