Hello parents and guardians and health practitioners in the house, I want to ask can a 2year old bow legs straight naturally or only with surgery. because her parent cant stand the look of the bow legs, many people are recommending surgery, while some said it will correct on it's own between her 3years to 4years as she grows. pls her parent needed your advices to know which actions to take. 3 Likes

If they like, they should listen to neighbours. Those same neighbours will laugh at them if things go wrong and claim innocence. They should go to a hospital and take doctors’ recommendations. From experience, my best friend and his siblings were all bow legged when we were young but now it has straighten although not completely. A closer look will still show the traces compared to when we were young and there legs were almost a big O 17 Likes |

The condition is called rickets and surgery is the only solution at this time. It's always recommended for the surgery to be performed while the person is still young because the older they get, the more difficult it can be for the doctors to operate the person. 14 Likes 3 Shares |

My bow legs straightened as I grew older. I still have just maybe about 20% of it now. No need spending shishi on any surgery unless they want to waste money and mess up an innocent child's life up. 22 Likes 3 Shares |

It's kinda normal for a 2yr old to have bow leg, physiological genu varum. It corrects later. Some have K legs at age 4 to 7 which corrects on its own later, physiological genu valgum. However, the deformities shouldn't be so disabling if it's physiological. 15 Likes 1 Share |

It will get straightened on its own... Nothing to worry about, Just leave am like that... U self no go know as e go take straight up by itself... Be patient. It will straighten over time. Not medical advice though but from experience. I use to have a bow leg as a kid till my high school days, I can’t just explain how it disappears over time. I still have it but you will need a microscope to notice it. 3 Likes |

Many years ago, a boy had his leg amputated in our street because his parent tried such. The other leg straightned on its own as he grew. |

My youngest brother had the same problem, when he was very small, but on its own the leg strengthed on its own, but we were giving him some supplements like calcium and some vitamins, don't go for surgery they will just waste money, it will correct by it's self. yinkaOdutuyo |
