Wrong narrative from Op, the real deal is that some producers and movie directors want an Oscars while others don't have a vision for an Oscar.
So the budget for production differs , because those Cameras ain't cheap to buy or rent.
So desire becomes aspirations and aspirations to result.

Will the departure of Netflix seriously affect Yoruba films which have massively benefitted from Netflix sponsorship due to the Lagos effect, to the detriment of other geopolitical zones that are too further afield from the Lagos-Netflix ecosystem.

Netflix ain’t leaving Nigeria. Also, even without Netflix, Yoruba movies gross the highest number at the box office and no amount of tears from people like you will stop the fact.

Even ordinary Benin get level pass Ibo people. Yoruba is way above your league.
