I had earlier filled DS160 and submitted, got an appointment date scheduled. The details in the DS160 had since changed, how can i update the DS160 already submitted to reflect the new details.

Good morning Everyone...please I want to ask one questions here. My aunty is travelling for a conference around Feb I guess and agent is helping her to filled her form. Now according to her the agent have collected appointment date for her for February this year and she started filling her form last Dec and jan.

As I heard no early appointment date for February except emergency date for medical.
My questions is:

1. Is the date for appointment real?
2. Is there anything like buying appointment for US visa?

because my aunty is so desperate not to listen to me when I told her nothing like that. Please I need good answer bikonu. Thanks

I seriously doubt this. People that filles forms last year got late 2025 - early 2026 dates. They should show her a screenshot of appointment date. Even IW applicants couldn't get February date.

I made MRV payments for my son and I since October 29, 2024 and I am still unable to proceed to book an appointment.
It tells me Bank details updated successfully and yet no progress.
It's been nearly 3 months of frustration.

Do I create a new profile and upload the payment details, will that work?
Can I get a refund and restart again?
This is over N700,000.
Please I need urgent guidance.

Do they extend it or it was moved to this week?

Check your AVITS portal to confirm the changes, if it's so then there is nothing you can do or create a ticket asking why so.

Wow, I think you should take it like that. The site is not fully okay infact I had from the customer support that the site is going through a lot of technical difficulty due to the large volume of applicants to respond to. The site just launched 5months ago and it will take a while before it can be okay. So far you can't get earlier date if you want to reschedule so take it.

Hello, I am in a dicey situation here.
I wished, I had come here earlier, I wont have made some mistakes.
Let me give you a background of the issue. My mum did drop box on October 22, 2024 and she was refused under 221g 2 weeks after. The only email that was sent by AVITs is for her to reschedule her appointment but the reschedule tab did not work. We waited till last weekend after sending loads of emails to AVITS and US embassy home and abroad, all to no avail. Now we submitted another application and paid using First Bank. Now, after reading different cases on this platform, I became confused. Now to proceed after the payment, we are asked if she has been refused before. Now, the advise I need is, should we ignore the new application and send the "Unable to Schedule Appointment on AVITS" to LagosNIV@state.gov? If we are to proceed with the new application, is the answer to the refusal question "yes" or "no"? Thanks

Did Dropbox and got a 221g email few days ago
No message sent regarding my passport pickup and not been able to reschedule appointment to attend the 221g interview through ‘reschedule’ on AVITS.

Please have you been able to pick up your passport while waiting to attend your 221g interview ?

Also, please how were you able to get an appointment through the ‘reschedule’ using the same visa fee you initially paid?

Anyone who has scaled through this phase, please help 🙏🙏

Here’s the process I think you can follow:

1. Book Your Own Appointment: First, search for a date that works for you and book your appointment.


2. Book for Your Wife: After booking your own appointment, pay for your wife’s appointment and monitor for the same date within 24 hours.


3. Reschedule if Needed: If the available date for your wife is different from yours, reschedule your own appointment to match her date so you can attend together.


4. Book for Your Daughter: Once you have the dates for both yourself and your wife, pay for your daughter's appointment. Any available date for your daughter will be the one you confirm.


5. Reschedule if Necessary: If you end up with a different date for your daughter, you may need to reschedule for yourself and your wife to match her date.

6. You can start on Saturday or Sunday by booking your own appointment and making the payment. By Tuesday, your booking should be confirmed. If you're lucky and see available dates on Wednesday, go ahead and make the payment for your daughter that same day. This way, you'll likely have access to book her appointment by Friday night or Saturday, depending on the timing of your payment.
