You guys don't even bother to understand the position of the law.
The state chief judge's role is not to determine the 'guilt' of the accused governor.
He has no choice but to setup a panel when prompted by the house of assembly.
If he continuously refuses, he could be dismissed by the NJC for gross misconduct.

It is not like this would be the first time an impeachment would take place.
Peter Obi was impeached so was Ladoja of Oyo while both were the sitting governors.

Why did you think Fubara invaded the assembly and demolished the complex on the
first impeachment tries?
If he felt so secured, he won't bother fighting the assembly members tooth and nail.
Since you are wasting time to answer lemme help you.

The CJ of the state will set up a Judicial panel to investigate the allegations against the governor.
( A panel of judges not a panel of goats or a panel of Assembly members)

This CJ will constitute his panel from the State judiciary.
If he likes the governor the panel will be friendly and clear the governor of all charges.

The worst case scenario is the President withdrawing Fubara's security with impunity and removing him.

And then the judiciary will overturn everything..

Why do you think those 2 examples you gave of Obi and Ladoja were overturned by the courts?

Because the assembly cannot legally impeach the governor if the Cj says NO.

Wike will not lose at the SC. Sim deserve to be incharge of Rivers State but Wike's grip on the judiciary will play a significant role.
The person that Wike depend on at Supreme Court is Mrs Mary Odili who retired recently.
Note that wike already insulted the family not too long ago.
The supreme Court judges will not let down one of their own and support wike.

The game is the game.....lets keep watching.

Wike camp will win the major case that will nail SIM camp why SIM will win the minor case that will not stand long
E.g wike camp will win that there was no defection from those assembly members automatically they have nailed SIM camp why SIM camp will win the RSIEC case.
Take this to the bank.
SIM is gone.
you're there smiley

😂😂

Dey play. With affidavit of defection used as evidence by the governor's lawyers, those 27 law breakers are gone. Swearing an affidavit was their Achilles hills. In fact, the spokesman of the house of assembly then was seen in many media houses granting interviews on their defection.
You'll learn soon to understand what defection means.

And the supreme court will let the president down to support a retired judge?

The the committee finds the governor not guilty... What next?

Because the assembly cannot legally impeach the governor if the Cj says NO.
The CJ has no say on what the assembly choose to do.
His job is to setup panel, that is it.

We are not talking about whether court will reverse an impeachement.
The discussion is strictly about the impeachment.
Again, why did you think Fubara invaded the house when he learnt of an
impeachment plot?
Or you think he is so daft and has no knowledgeable adviser to tell him, according
to you, that the house are just jokers and should be ignored and it is only the chief judge that matters?

All the cases are simple. Due to disobedience of court orders, Fubara will not win anyone.

Fubara is gone as nothing will save him. All the kangaro judgement procured from the Rivers High court will be laid to rest.

Fubara operated in 2024 without budget, his impeachment just around the corner.

Ipob will wail to eternity. Fubara will regret allowing ipob to support him.

Wike na master
Fubara operated without a budget? Are posting from Niger republic?
With the sworn court affidavit of defection from those lawmakers,
they are as good as gone.

There was no direct call. The crux of the matter is about their defection and legitimacy.
Read the judgments again sir. Even in the appeal court judgment that quashed the order freezing rivers accounts, it agreed that the state has no budget. Fubara is sure of bruises at the apex.... His refusal to obey the appeal court judgment to re-present the budget to the 27 is already counting against him

As at October 2023, the period of the botched impeachment, Fubara didn't have the CJ Simeon Amadi fully on his side so his skepticism was understandable.

As of today Simeon Amadi is firmly with him.. no impeachment is possible.

Besides I never said the assembly should be ignored..

Impeachment requires both parties..

The absence of one party makes the impeachment an impossibility...

And to add, I don't need to be the one to tell you that the CJ will set up a panel constituting only "friendly" judges to the Governor..

I don't need to tell you this, you are not a baby.

You are making sense; I don't know what all those people are commenting above. How can an a friendly impeachment panel set up by the Governor and his CJ impeach him. The panel will even sit in government house

swearing an affidavit is not a factor but the factor is that as of today, the 27 law makers are still PDP member and as such the part registered book affirmed.

When dealing with a party matter, the important factor is part register book and they are still a member.

More so, from APC register book they aren't a member and never admitted them as a member.

so based on this, they are pdp members.
We shall see. What is stopping them from impeaching the governor since they are still members.

You will explain where party register is mentioned in section 109(g)
