It is like these banks want to be unfortunate. If they loaded their machines with cash, we will not be left at the mercy of these POS people.

Nigeria is a terrible place and we keep actively finding ways and means to sabotage the system.

I don't understand how a government can tax its citizens so heavily in a country where the average income is only $48 per month.
How much are you currently paying as tax?

Trueprophet91:
You, how much tax are you paying?
People are complaining of hardship you're here asking nonsense question.

I never complained of paying excess taxes. Ask the guy who complained of paying heave taxes.

I’ve decided to stop using POS for cash withdrawals. Instead, I’ll plan ahead and withdraw directly from the ATM near the office, either weekly or bi-weekly. We’ll have to outsmart the system and adapt wisely.

What's not to understand? Your government knows you are docile but your average minds you are resilient and adaptive

The one that pained me the most is electronic money transfer levy 50 naira on every 10k and nobody said pim

Petrol back to 1k nobody sad anything

Telcos jacked up price, everybody is reducing their call time

Cable TV services increased tarrif, most of you downgraded

But who is buying private jets and yachts? The theys and dems who won't pay shishi to government coffers but can take as much as thy like and efcc will still be hailing them

Nigerians did this to themselves

And they are still adapting

Your government promised to reduce your purchasing power and send you into poverty

And they'll do even worse because they know Nigerians won't do anything

If the CBN can mandate the banks to always make cash available in the ATM machines, the POS issue will die a natural death.

Some of these issues are very simple.

There are no cash, yet the rich spray new notes in every event. Are they the ones printing those cash?

ehikwe22:
POS operators are one of the major problems with face in this country. After contributing in the buying and selling of our own currencies, they're looking for every opportunity to increase their charges. You pay 4% to take your own cash in Abuja. Isn't that daylight robbery?

POS machines doesn't play videos or audio. It just displays digital options that uses a few texts to to send request to certain apis and receive JSON texts in return.

Which stupid data are these stupid operators talking about?

They can buy 1 GiG data and it last them the whole month. Do they think that we're all fools?

POS phenomenon in Nigeria is another FRAUD tacitly approved or ignored by government. It's like the FRAUD in government ignoring Electricity DISCOs charging Community bills and asking consumers to buy transformers and wires.

This is the best option.... I don't know people living and working can't plan or organize their lives..... I see people that use POS as disorganized..... Even market women here on the island all take transfers.... So what's the hype with POS...

You made a good point but stop converting the money to dollars. We do not spend dollars in Nigeria. It’s very misleading.

The last time tariff was increased was 2013.

Haba.

How many Nigerian businesses can wait for so long before they increase prices of products?

We should be considerate and bear with them. They spend such on diesel and other miscellaneous things.

POS operators should tread sofly o.
Who is this bloody F0000LLL ?

Agbadorian will avoid this thread like plague.
If we talk they will show you 1000 reasons why we have to pay all our earnings as tax. No employment, no better wage, no electricity, high electricity tariff, high fuel price, high inflation, high exchange rate, multiple taxation, lack of incentive etc, the only thing they celebrate is LGA financial autonomy, joining BRICS, Super highway ( embezzlement tunnel).

Agbadorian just tell your lord tinubu to take us back to where Buhari stopped
