Please note that my response to your earlier quote was courteous, detailed and polite. Even in an open forum like Nairaland it's ideal to be civil. If Afe Babalola had his way, that Airport strip would be within his University campus. However, for approvals and the benefits of the generality of the state they chose to collaborate for the benefit of people. The Airport would be active as you will see in the coming months. People come for all over Africa and Nigeria for Medical and Academic needs in ABUAD and Ekiti generally. The equipments in both facilities are state of art and internationally benchmarked. lexy2014: |

zero8zero:again you don't have sense, when the likes of Dubai started building there was already a plan and it was made public and they brought foremst consultants to provide forecast and predict when the NPV will be positive for the projects. Please tell me what Ekiti has done towards the future. You are a just a coded mugu. |

Lanruze:how does all you have said answered these questions? 1. what concerns me with number 6? 2. how does number 1 make any sense? 3. were all airports in nigeria built because of one Ph.d holder and an old lawyer? 4. what makes afe babalola university a "world class university"? when did the university and teaching hospital become a tourist destination? 5. tourist destination for who exactly? 6. which HNIs are you referring to? 7. are you saying billions were spent on an airport all because of afe babalola mango and moringa? |

Cj4charles:In my opinion, I think it makes sense for every State to have airport for economic and other reasons. it's a source of employment for the state and it would open up the state to massive opportunities too. There is nothing wrong in it. Now you can fly directly to Ekiti. |

Do you know what I just did, rather than respond to your pessimistic, vague, childish and myopic probing question I went through your posts today alone. I will spare you as you have been " engaged" already by your people. Ekiti Cargo Airport has come to stay and you will be witness to it's gradual growth and economic benefits. lexy2014: |

| Re: Ekiti Airport Runway Is World Class - Aviation Minister by sulaak(m): 9:17pm On Jan 21, 2025 |
lexy2014:Who said Ekiti state would turn into a logistic hub overnight? You are asking silly questions. The vision is to transform Ekiti state into a logistic hub, starting with the airport and road network to support integrated transportation. The distance from Ado Ekiti to Ibadan is 3 hr 43 min (191.3 km) via the A122 road network. You don't wait for demand, and you create the environment for future needs by being the first to attract investors Every state must start adding value to their people; the culture of FAAC and paying salaries is gone. Can a state attract investors to start manufacturing, agro-processing and farming in your state? You build the infrastructure and then attract investors. |

sulaak: sulaak:Yes...from farms. 1. which "products from Osun, Kwara and Ekiti states" are you referring to? 2. where will the perishable goods you mentioned come from? sulaak:3. how can ekiti state automatically "transform into a logistic hub" over night? 4 was there any demand for logistics from farmers osun, kwara and ekiti states? 5. Does ekiti state have farmers who are struggling to get their products to other states? 6. How much agricultural produce does ekiti produce? 7. Ilorin already has an airport. why will those Kwara state now depend on the airport in Ekiti state? |
