This is the part where people are missing, he is not ammending the constitution, he is triggering a security clause; The order stated, children born to "Illegal immigrants", so he is directly citing Article 2 section 2 of the US constitution - that calls on his powers as POTUS in national security situations.

As long as the Supreme Court is Right leaning, this case is closed. At least till after 4 years.

Remember the "Muslim ban"? They battled the case to no avail in court till he left power and another president reversed it. Despite the claims it was also "constitutional"

You do not understand the process of amending the constitution. You think the President could just wake up and change the US constitution by executive order. The framers of the constitution are not silly when they stated that children born on the US soil are citizens.

Actually Democrats have played all their cards. Impeachment, conviction,media manipulation,*assassination,none worked.

There was heavy pr opposition against him in his first term which led to him losing in 2020. Democrats had fours years to show they were better yet trump ends up coming back to not only the presidency,but both the Senate and the house. Trump is even more unstoppable (for lack of a better word) now than he was in his first term

And the Republican party now realizes that without trump they would be be almost obselate . Even Republican politicians that were strongly opposed against trump in his first trump have dialled down their tone

The executive order also affects children born to Students and those with work visas so are those illegal too?

I'm not worried about African and black Caribbean immigrants because we always find another legal way.

Trump can win and can lose. It is a toss up case at the US Supreme Court.

Trump will argue on the original intent of having the 14th amendment which was to give citizenship to freed black slaves.

Democrats will argue jurisdiction because everyone in the US, except foreign diplomats are subject to US jurisdiction.

It all depends on which side the Supreme Court agrees.

When the 14th amendment was written and ratified, there was no problem of illegal immigrants, birth tourism and other issues around this amendment.

So the argument will be based on the problems existing then when the amendment was written and ratified.
