Who has experienced this issue with felicity hybrid inverter IVM 3024 and sako battery? Setup is not giving any power output. 3 pcs of 555w jinko panels connected in series to the battery

An installer once told me that it better to use and external charge controller on an hybrid inverter with inbuilt charge controller. He claimed that it reduces the stress on the inverter. Please, how true is this claim? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 12:03pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
EduTechTainMent:Ur inverter is most likely the issue. The battery is showing no current leaving or entering into it. Not sure the panels would work as u need at least 120v from the PV for it to start charging which u not likely to get with those 3 |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 12:08pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
hayzhed:Not true. Less said, the better. Only reason to add an external charge controller is if you already used the maximum panels size ur system can take. |

Bro, toss this battery ASAP, I had exactly the same issue with the same model of battery and SAKO 3kw 24V Inverter alongside 8pcs of 450W Jinko Panels, at nights the battery discharges like it's in a competition, The SAKO Inverter and Battery both refused to obey cut-off points and as such the battery discharges beyond DOD, I thought when day breaks and the sun comes up, the inverter will wake the battery up, but it didn't, client used GEN and NEPA to try to charge the battery, yet no power. This horrible experience went on for days until I replaced the Inverter and Battery with Felicity IVEM 3KW and 5KWh Felicity Lithium Battery. Now everything is up and running and the SAKO Battery and Inverter are both laying fallow in my garage. Regrettably several other people have reported similar issues with SAKO products. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE 2 MODELS OF SAKO BATTERY & INVERTER EduTechTainMent: |

jonescosmos:In my own case, the battery was discharged to 23V, upon troubleshooting, I found out the Battery settings 05 was set AGM which the cut settings is 20V, how it happened, only God knows. I guided client to change to USE and change cut off to 24V, it did not still charge. But after waiting for few hours, was told it started charging again. And since then they never called back for issues. |

EduTechTainMent:Learnt about this issue today.. Can you share the Inverter settings, battery type, Charge, Float and cut off that was set.. Did you use communication cable? The battery has warranty and can be return if battery is the culprit. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dam5reey1(m): 3:31pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
hayzhed:For many Hybrid Inverter, The Controller inside Hybrid is a separate Board, just like the Charge controller, its in same box does not mean the inverter is the controller. Laptop with inbuilt keyboard and mouse does not stress it. It just made it compact. |

jonescosmos:Can't you dismantle and extract the batteries at least instead of laying fallow in your garage? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by compunigeria: 4:22pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
Dam5reey1:This is likely due to the UnderVoltage Protection Recovery by the BMS after the battery is left idle for some time. Have you or any other users here experienced signal interference with any SAKO hybrid inverter? ( E.g DSTV signal dropping, phone screen misbehaving/ acting weird and laptop touchpad not working while charging the device) Has anyone experience issues like these with any other hybrid inverters pls. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ferdiwar: 4:58pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
I believe the BMS of the battery is dead or has completely shutdown to preserve the cells. Can't you replace the BMS with JK or JBD and see it the battery will come to life. Or better still hook the battery to the Felicity inverter and see if the inverter will wake the battery up. jonescosmos: |

Valto:Do you have used Solar Panels that are in good condition. They just moved us to Band A.. The bill is crazy.. I already have inveter and battery.. So i just want to add the panels Thank you |

This installation happened in December in far away Abia State, I was still in Imo State while this issue arose, I had to do all that replacement before I returned to Abuja. I just abandoned the items in my house in Imo state, can't come and be stressing myself jarre. Perhaps I will tell my folks to waybill them to me soon so that I can see how to resuscitate the battery. omotoda: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by jonescosmos(m): 10:58pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
I will disassemble the battery when I receive it and boost charge the cells directly to wake up the BMS. Of course I know this is going to be the what I will resort to but which client wants to see you doing such with something that haven't served for 48 hours? And that's the reason I just replace the both units so save myself the stress. Abuja to Abia is not a 15 minute journey ooo. dollarnaira: |

I will discover which one it is once I get it down to my base. I did try it with the felicity inverter, but no juice. Ferdiwar: |

twosquare:Bro, just seeing this. I have an Ecoflow Delta 2 spoilt by Lightning. Do you have any contact of any Engineer who can get it repaired? Ecoflow says they dont have a repair center in Nigeria. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by easyyoke: 1:16pm On Jan 23, 2025 |
Iinnov8:Boss, can you link me up with any engineer that may be able to fix an Ecoflow Powerstation damaged by Lighting. Like you rightly said, most powerstations will indeed need to return to the manufacturer for repair. Ecoflow says they dont have a service center in Nigeria. They instead decided to send me a new one. So now I have a bricked shining powerstation sitting down dead at home. But I was thinking, even if I cant repair it, engineers should be able to extract out the battery inside the powerstation and repurpose it so that the battery inside does not just waste like that. What do you think |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by twosquare(m): 1:32pm On Jan 23, 2025 |
easyyoke:No, I do not have a contact of an engineer that deals with solar system or solar station yet. We discussed this lightning thing here: https://www.nairaland.com/7913296/bought-powerbank-1.2-million-naira/14 Albeit, the person was talking about Bluetti. As for Ecoflow, someone returned his bricked system to Lagos. As for whether they have in Nigeria, I can't say because the ones in Nigeria seem lazy based on the comment by gsparks01 here: https://www.nairaland.com/7913296/bought-powerbank-1.2-million-naira/21 They may be also be dismissive of you. You may need to get South African assistance, etc. Or file a warranty claim, etc. CC. gsparks01 Any help, Babatundehy, Hydronium ? Power station or DIY solar system. Next time, as the rainy season comes close, run your system through a breaker to protect your investment, and if you don't have the money now, please check your weather app to know the kind of weather that is coming so you can manually unplug your stuff (especially for power stations). |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by twosquare(m): 1:35pm On Jan 23, 2025 |
@easyyoke, the person who got his repaired was Debroslink. You may need to talk to Bluetti people to see if they can help you out...they may have engineers who take on such albeit at a fee since they are not the same product. Just my opinion. twosquare: |

Lightning strike devices are gone completely. My opinion. If you guys don't have trust issues, send them down for battery extraction. Lagos. By the way, how many watthour? |
