43Ronin:But what is the business of Christians with shariah. Why do you want Christians to concern themselves with another’s man religion |

EmperorCaesar:Lolzzzzz..... typical Yoruba man, shifting your tears fo the igbos. If you get mind, go and practice your isese religion and see if your fulani overlords presiding over the sharia courts don't amputate your hands. Shameless fellow |

Ekiti Governors have a tradition of azzlicking the PRESIDENT by doing what pleases him. From Fayose, his next and then this one. The evaluation of this azzlicking action will matter most in 10-15years time. Soon Hisbah will set up its branch.. |

Skooltynz:Heaven did not fall when Nigeria has been Christianize all this years. Afterall we have been using ur white master Law since independent. So why are you now complaining when we want to implement our own law, Afterall the last time i check Southwest is a mixture of both Muslims and Christians with fractions of traditionalist. And its constitutionally to have our own shariah law in the state |

First of all learn how to reply like an educated person from the Ekiti you claim to be and not type into the message. Secondly, whether Ekiti or ijebu or ilorin or Ibadan, so long as you are yoruba if you dig well you will have a Muslim relative. In fact an example I know very well is a friend from Ekiti who told me his father who was a papal knight was actually born a Muslim. The best schools in those days were Christian missionary schools, e.g Christ’s school Ado Ekiti or Aquinas college akure. If you wanted to get western education, you had to convert or pretend to be Christian. That’s why you may not know. |

Softmirror:What of other people in that region that doesn't like the two laws? EmperorCaesar:Ya Allah intercede in matters of Southwest. This isn't about driving flat heads away. Flat heads are still better than bandits and religious fanatics. What's wrong with you APC guys that you can't recognize ya enemies? Its religion that's used to colonize ya region. Have you ever heard of Igbos killing Yorubas? Buy you have heard of Hausa/Fulanis killing both Yorubas and Igbos. Except you are a janjaweèd. |

Layi4real:You are going to spoil that region. The day dispute occur between Christians and Muslims of same ethnic group in that area is the day you will know that African law would have been better if you called Nigerian constitution a white man's law. This fanaticism of you guys will split us region. |

NOETHNICITY:It's their business because in bauchi state a christain was jailed & sentenced to death by a sharia court for "blasphemy". You can deceive docile yorubas but you can neva bring that shít to SE.

Padipadi:Let me ask you this. Why must it be the white man Law we use in this country when we have both Muslims nd Christian in it. If u people want to be sincere then we should abandon both shariah nd white law and embrace Africa law. Imagine me as a Muslim which I'm entitled to marry more than one wife taking to court to do wedding nd telling me it me nd one wife? why not going to shariah court that will align to my religion doctrine |

casualobserver:I don't argue much. You argued base on your own experience. I don't have muslim relatives. It's either traditionalist or christian. Muslims friends and neighbours ?absolutely. However, relatives close to my FAMILY TREE, not yet. |

Oceanfl0w:How does democratic law run side by side with another law,......it will only lead i chaos because soon they will want shariah police that will end up harassing non-muslims.....how will this sit well when all religions start asking for courts and police....?? In a democratic country...citizens will be trying obey democratic laws and still be trying to obey shariah laws they know nothing about |

43Ronin:Na so una dey mumu If them say make una go school una go say know. Bauchi does not practice shariah law, but Penal code under which blasphemy is a criminal offense Not that also in southern Nigeria what is applicable is the ‘Criminal Code’ law which has blasphemy also as an offense! You cannot go around insulting other peoples religion. Also, note that it was in same Bauchi court that the person was freed |

Layi4real:Nigeria is not a Muslim/Christian nation, practice your religion in your house. Making Nigeria a religious country will only add more problems to it. |

NOETHNICITY:you did not make any sense! What Penal code in nigerias constitution makes blasphemy a felony & capital punishment Please enlighten me by dropping it here. Also if you read the article you can clearly see she was sentenced to death by sharia law in a sharia court and spent 2 and half years in prison awaiting her death. Also FYI bauchi is a sharia state, & a typical of example that sharia applies to all wether Muslim or not. A cannot respect as religion that does not respect the right of other religions which is what Islam does

Aduke96:Up until the age of possibly 35, I also would have sworn I had no Muslim relatives. As a child of about 13/14, when the friend I spoke about said to me my grandfather was probably a Muslim (he wasn’t) because his father (the papal knight) was born a Muslim, I could have sworn I had no Muslim relatives as I come from a family steeped in Christianity. I have since found otherwise. Not just in my family but to find out many of my friends were actually Muslims and I never knew. You don’t know is different from there are none. Western Educated Yoruba Muslims in particular are the hardest to spot unless they tell you or they address themselves by their Muslim names. They do all the things Christians do, Celebrate Xmas with Christians, drink alcohol, eat pork and bacon, are not in your face with their religion and usually, often you won’t know until they are grown adults, or their parents die etc etc or just feel a need to get closer to God in their advancing years that they are Muslims. In fact, I only discovered about 3 months ago that my maternal great grandfather was a Muslim. His son, my maternal grandfather was actually a catechist. I actually till date do not know of any of my relatives on my grandfather’s side due to old family feuds who may likely be Muslims. Like I said never assume anything! |

NOETHNICITY:I am guessing you are a Muslim, the last thing you guys do is mind your business, you can start by saying shariah only applies to Muslims but we both know that is not practice in the north. All the countries that i have been to that has as little as 5% Muslims, there is always some religious issues or clash with people of other faith. Even Islamic countries still fight amongst themselves ( the I am more Muslim than you is still an issue). You guys have problems with the whole world and yourselves and still play the victim. |

Fighting against Shariah is nothing but hatred and fear combined. Shari'ah is for muslims. Live and let others live |

| Re: Shariah Panel Holds First Public Sitting In Ekiti, Resolves Marriage Dispute by casualobserver: 3:04pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
Guru9ja:Close relative is not what I said. I said relative. Either way, the point is Muslims and Christian’s have coexisted in yoruba land in peace for centuries. To the point you don’t sometimes know who is a Muslim. It is not the yoruba way to introduce religious intolerance and it is the work of non Yorubas who are intolerant of other religions where they come from. because true Yorubas do not care. |
