Since 2016 abi 2017, Uniben has been producing Doctors of pharmacy (Pharm D).

Pharmacists seem to be more strategic than the Medical doctors. With this, they have closed the gap between themselves and the Medical doctors.

Now, a Pharmacist can be an MD of a Hospital and ultimately become Minister of Health in Nigeria.

Medical Doctor Apprenticeship NHS Entry Requirements
The medical doctor degree apprenticeship entry requirements are similar to the typical rigorous prerequisites to study medicine. However, since each university has its own application process and each apprentice will be employed by a different NHS trust, requirement discrepancies can come up.

Additional assessments of the candidate's capability for academic learning and evaluations of their personal qualities, interpersonal skills, and behaviours suitable for a medical career.

When will they be upgraded to doctor of nursing and doctor of radiography?

This means graduate pharmacists and physiotherapists should earn higher than those who have bachelor of medicine/ bachelor of surgery since their own is doctor of pharmacy and doctor of physiotherapy. That is if we take it that doctor is superior to bachelor.

Kudos to pharmacy and physiotherapy.

In Nigeria, don't be Surprised that One Oga that is Closed to the Power or Presidency - might just be Using Political tools to tell you ' As in Global Practice'
-There is nothing Politicians cannot do in Nigeria, including Interfering in Our Academics- for their Selfish idiocy and this is one of the Reasons,why the World 🌎 don't take us Seriously 😒.

But Nigerian doctors have always been using politics to their advantage. So, if indeed the new development has political undertone, believe me, they will fight it and look for ways of stopping this development from seeing the light of the day. Remember baba Ngige (a political Medical doctor) who destroyed the salary structure of other health workers in Nigeria. Till today, the salaries of other healthcare workers apart from doctors are NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT. So, you may be right.

Physiotherapy is one of the under rated courses in Nigeria. Nigerians with that degree in Canada or US are doing well.

We understand the MBBS ..Being a double degree.... Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.....and it's justified they are "Doctors"... Adding Doctor to Pharmacy sounds somehow...in all honesty.

But that's what they come out with in the United States. Doctor of Pharmacy (first degree).

You're not just used to it.
