sweetkev:This is what I don't understand about our leaders in Nigeria. They're corrupt, selfish, greedy and lack empathy. The same oil that Saudi Arabia, UAE and others are using to make life easier for their citizens. Nigerians are experiencing hardships being caused by our wicked leaders. This same lawmaker who said this verdict will be nothing less than 300 million richer by the time he finished serving in 2027 |

All you hear from their mouth is "additional funding", that's the only thing they know. Once there's additional funding, there will be more money to loot. |

PHED moved us from Band B to Band A without notifying us. Band A is supposed to be 20 to 24 hrs of light, but we still get same amount of light, if not lesser, compared to when we were on Band B. The most annoying part is that we now pay triple more than we were paying. It's just criminal how these guys behave. |

Faleke unfortunately very unknowledgable Electricity Power Supply systems in Nigeria. 🇳🇬 the 6th most populated country in the world with over 200million people in need of over 200000Mw but just with less than 5000Mw generation capacity Transmission and Distribution systems operations all over the country. [ Go to Oshogbo NCC _ [National Power system control Centre in Oshun State]for detailed Power supply systems situations in Nigeria. They say when the head is off it will be too late to cry. Non Power supply systems projects operations has being in existence since Independence. Recalled Kainji Hydro power supply systems production which was started by the BRITISH Colonial Administration meant for 1200Mw but after independence in October 1960 the then Independence Administration in instead of project continuation were not going on as planned by the BRITISH Colonial Administration, recalled During Gowon military administration Kainji Hydro power Station which was meant for 1200Mw was commissioned as 320Mw instead of 1200Mw and by 1975 one of the 4 units has gone down collapsed bringing the Kainji Hydro back to 240 Mw. Recalled also the case of the 11 jailed NEPA UNION MEMBERS During Babangida military administration 1993 when he said his government will not spend on power supply systems operations in Nigeria again, which led to NEPA Strike. Recalled he even said that the 11union members should be charged with treasonous systems, but Kano State high court sentenced them to 10year jail terms. Also remember OBASANJO administration so called power supply systems productions contracts of $160 billion dollars as at today where are the gas power stations despite the money usage. So for you Faleke you and other destroyers of power supply systems in the country are one and the same. I know however that President Tinubu governmental Administration will not agree with you on your anti Power supply systems projects operations in Nigeria. Like I said Nigeria is need of over 200000Mw but with just less than 5000Mw. See Brazil the 7th world largest populated country in the world with over 185.Million people with over 185000Mw power supply systems operations and Mexico the 10th largest populated country in the world with over 150Milliom people has over 150000Mw power supply productions. Even South Africa with about Go to Google.com for confirmation. Even South Africa with a little over 60 million people has power supply systems over 65000Mw. |

donself9:See us o. May be one day. From previous 4 units for 1k, dropped to 3.3 units without any announcement or awareness. It was used to be 9.8 units before the announcement. Meanwhile, band B customers are still enjoying 13.5 units for 1k which I'm sure that they are the ones being targeted now ![]() |

obidark:But why are they enjoying it but don't want the masses to benefit anything from the government? Even when they earmark funds for developmental projects, they would still end up looting, mismanaging or diverting the funds |
| Re: Reps Committee: Government Can’t Afford Power Subsidies Anymore by maasoap(m): 9:11am On Jan 23, 2025 |
kedeojo:Why are you buying into this bullshitt? Subsidising masses have not killed any nation and it can never kill any nation. Power, water, petrol, telephone calls, drugs and medical treatments, etc were being subsidised in Nigeria before just like many countries are still doing today even after Nigerian government has stopped everything. What is killing Nigeria is corruption. Funds needed for subsidising basic necessities of life in Nigeria is nothing compared to the huge amounts of money being looted and finding its way into the individual govt officials every year. No more subsidies on anything in Nigeria, yet Tinubu still increased our debt by 8 trillion naira last year alone . This would have been blamed for subsidies conveniently in the past.Your politicians are increasing their own different allowances every year, yet stripping the ordinary Nigerians of any benefit they can think of. It is the only Nigerian masses that should be making sacrifices, right? |
