"Champions League: Full List of the 15 teams Who Qualified for The Round of 16, Knockout Stages."

At least 15 teams have booked their places in both the Round of 16 and knockout stages of this season’s Champions League.

The new-look 36-team format is now reaching the climax of the league phase. Only two of the eight clubs that will go straight through to the round of 16 have been confirmed.

16 teams will take part in the knockout play-off round in February. The clubs in 9th to 24th places will take part in the play-off round next month.

While those in 25th to 36th are eliminated. Three clubs have already been eliminated. Nine more will drop out next week. Unlike in previous years, no teams will drop into the Europa League.

Round of 16: Liverpool are guaranteed to finish first or second and this assures the Reds of a top seeding position in the bracket. Barcelona have also secured a top-eight finish with a dramatic winner in a 5-4 comeback victory at Benfica.

Teams guaranteed of at least a place in the knockout playoff round: Atlético Madrid, Atalanta, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Internazionale, Aston Villa, Brest, AS Monaco, Lille, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are strong contenders for this trophy in this footballing year. However, this format of qualification get as e be.

This is huge for Arsenal and Liverpool.

Next 16teams #9 to#24 engage in Home&Away Playoffs to get remaining 8teams for Round of 16.

After R/16 matches, then Q/Final, then S/Final then Final.

It's a good innovation, for me.

It's a league format, just like premiership, but in this case the top 8 qualifies for round of 16 automatically, while from 9 to 16 will play each other home and away to qualify for round of 16.

Please is it women's champions league or what nah?

An underdog will win this years champions league .. Inter came close 2 years ago and also Atlético Madrid looks to be in formidable form.
