I think that you and few others are the confused ones here. Bob will either be He or transit to She. Trump has only problem with those who choose to be "They/them".

You're right! They'll only recognize male and female. But they didn't ban gay marriages. Bob-brisky is a male by birth and that's what is recognized.

So Bob could choose to marry any man/woman whether they are biological male/female really makes no difference. The US isn't frowning at gay marriages at the moment
