An Example Of Why Finland Cannot Send Simon Ekpa To Nigeria by gidgiddy(op): 1:18pm On Jan 23, 2025
I read what some people said, that the the self styled 'Prime Minister Of Biafra', Simon Ekpa, will be extradited or repatriated to Nigeria from Finland, and I laugh. Here is an example of why that won't happen

In 2022, with the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Finland applied to join NATO. Finland was told that in other to join, all 30 countries that make up NATO must vote yes. Turkey decided not to support Finlands entry unless Finland extradited some members the Kurdish Workers Party(PPK) who Finland was harbouring. PPK is a group that is fighting for the independence of Kurdish people from Turkey, they have long been designated a terrorist organization by the Turkish government

Finland said a flat 'no' to Turkey stating it is a signatory to the European Convention On Human Rights(ECHR), and is barred from extradition people to a place where they face persecution. Turkish human rights rating is nothing to write home about

Nigeria has an even worse human rights rating than Turkey. So if Finland refused to extradite PPK members to Turkey over NATO memership, why do you think they would extradite Ekpa to Nigeria? Turkey eventually backed down and Finland became the 31st member of NATO in April 2023

Forget Simon Ekpa ever being extradited to Nigeria, Finland is barred from doing so by ECHR

Finland is not Kenya

After all he is in detention. That is fine

Since Ekpa was arrested, this Gidgiddy guy has not known peace.

He has been so restless. Leave the two governments of Nigeria and Finland to do their things and stop the assumptions.

All we know is that since his arrest, there's a lot of calmness in the South East.

Nigerian government don't understand that Finland is making money from them directly or indirectly through taxes from the lawyers they hired.

I'm waiting for the list of names Dubai sent sponsoring terrorist in Nigeria. Why are the names hidden in secret.

Peace will come with or without Nnamdi Kanu it is a matter of time.
The government will always find a way to eliminate enemies of the state.
Simon Ekpa through his actions and pronoucement made himself enemy of the state have to face the consequences.
MNK is facing his.Self determination is not a license to become a terrorist.

If you people need peace you will get it. Since you don't need it, then manage what you have. Kanu will remain in prison.

Once more, you are wrong.

Finland did not extradite those Kurdish cats because Turkey refused to accept the extradition on the condition that they are not tried under an offence that carries the death penalty.

If Nigeria accepts that condition, Simon Ekpa is on the next flight home (and home is not Finland), so get ready for more unhappiness as your heroes are falling down one by one.

Lol

ECHR is very clear when it said "No one may be removed, expelled or extradited to a State where there is a serious risk that he or she would be subjected to the death penalty, torture or other inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment"

A country like Nigeria with its very bad human rights record has zero chance of of having Finland extradite Ekpa, it's complete waste of time.

Europeans can throw anybody under the bus if it favours their national interest more especially if such persons are non European.

Sweden in order to join nato have to extradite a Kurd wanted by Turkey back to Turkey against your so called ECHR.

Sweden has extradited a Kurdish refugee to Turkey.

More wailing and lamentations from a confirmed terrorism enabler.
Anyway this thread is book marked for future reference when your hero Simon Ekpa is extradited to Nigeria because I distinctly remember you blabbering and chest beating that Ekpa would NEVER be arrested by the Finnish police on the request of Nigeria. So where is Ekpa now?

Same person and his gang said in the past that the Finnish government can't even arrest him but today he has been arrested without bail.

I am glad you've shifted your position from "Finland is barred from...".

If Nigeria signs an agreement today that he wouldn't get the death penalty and the other stuff you said, Simon the imbecilic content creator is coming back to his real home tommorow to face the consequences of his actions.

Simon Ekpa that is not an asset to Finland in any shape or form, you think he is not expendible? Hand go soon touch am, dey siddon look?

Foolish rat was allowing his followers to punish children who wanted to go to school on a Monday. God's wrath awaits him.

I did not shift anything and the law is clear. No European country can extradite a person to a country where they face persecution or ill treatment and trying to convince Finland that a country like Nigeria with very bad human rights record and little rule of law will not maltreat Ekpa, is a waste of time

Finland us not a lawless country like Nigeria and Kenya, and not go back on what it signed and send it's own citizen to a lawless country

The people who want us to believe they are angry that School children don't go School on Mondays are the sane people who never show any concern that there are parts of the North where children have not gone to School for years due to banditry

At times some of these IPOB enablers on this forum just speak before they use their brains. The kind of things some of them post everyday just shows that their brains are just mere decorations in their skull.

I am not talking about children NOT going to school. I am talking about children being punished by adults for the temerity of wanting to go to school. Stop the muddying of the waters. What is evil is evil. Would you wish that on your own children or other child relatives?

Finland is not a lawless country so why did Simon Ekpa carry his lawlessness there? Also, these extradition treaties don't care how lawless you are, but how you treat the person they send to you.

Jamaica, Columbia and Mexico have made US sign these things for their nationals that they have sent over. It is standard between counties and people they extradite.
Re: An Example Of Why Finland Cannot Send Simon Ekpa To Nigeria by Macnnoli4(m):
Nigerian government hasn't even finished prosecuting Nnamdi Kanu since his first arrest in 2015 and re-arrest in 2021 and within all that time wastage, we had politicizations, Monday sits-at-home and escalation of violence by Simon Ekpa's IPOB. I heard Finland has a better justice system and adherence to rule of law than us so they should help us prosecute Ekpa. I don't want another round of politicizations, Tuesday sits-at-home and further degeneration to violence while Nigerian justice system be dragging their feet, adding new charges every market week if he gets extradited.

Do they even have brain at all? There is nothing inside their skull to even act as decoration. It is as empty as an empty barrel
