abuzz33:He said he will launch his security gadgets tomorrow. Let see how tomorrow will be. But sincerely, soludo is clueless. Very clueless. Never a serious and proactive governor. Compare with mbah of Enugu, you will know that soludo is still far behind. |

Enugu state is very unsafe and the news is being under reported. A bus full of passengers were kidnapped in Enugu but till date, no news about there whereabouts. The governor is not doing anything. We have heard about how Nimbo, nsukka and parts of Enugu is experiencing great insecurity, kidnapping, killllngs, etc, what’s Mbah actually doing to save Enugu state? People at nimbo and nsukka don’t even go out any more. Ediot I don’t know when you shall stop your madness and stop living in denial and face reality. oilykid: |

Mktinsight you are a well known evil creature that thrives on negativity because you are an evil night owl, you are a blood sucker that operates at night. You are very outstanding in spreading evil and negativity. We saw how you condemn every thing about Anambra. Evil creature like you spent the whole year spewing nonsense why Anambra doesn’t need an airport and that it will not be built, but unfortunately for you evil night owl, the airport was completed and today it is the busiest in Igboland as at the recent records. So don’t even think we have suddenly forgotten who you really are. Evil creature like you cannot tell us anything. So shut up your devilish lying mouth that’s full of evil and propaganda. abuzz33: |

abuzz33:thanks for the information, we need constructive criticism for better growth in Anambra But I expected u to report the abducted Dr.'s release the following day... Since the abductors could not withstand the heat. Ur failure to report the following development makes it look as if u are celebrating sad news from this end. While we commend Anambra State security structure, we challenge them to do more. The gospel truth is that the entire southeast and Nigeria at large is not safe. But we are not taking any excuse because Anambra have to standout as first class state. |

0bjpmb:Chino, stop this nonsense. Is childish. Soludo is overrated. Shebi, he dey insult Peter Obi. We are waiting how is going to turn Anambra into Dubai when insecurity is rampaging the state. |
| Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by 0bjpmb: 11:18pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
Taa mechionu you obviously have no defence. Ewu has Abuja turned to a Dubai or Taiwan? Insecurity is more in Enugu and imo states, the difference is that while that of Anambra is over reported, the ones in imo and Enugu are under reported. stanluiz: |

Chikeluba25:I started posting incidents of kidnapping after posting that the government was not taking it very seriously. It should be obvious that something is definitely SERIOUSLY wrong when judges, doctors, politicians, nuns, Reverend fathers, bankers have been kidnapped over the past year with absolute Impunity. The Urologist at NAUTH was not the first doctor to be kidnapped. Dr Stephen Ezeh was abducted in Ihiala in August 2024. Supersport journalists were abducted with some killed in October 2024. The Labor member of house of reps for Onitsha North Justice Azuka abducted in December 2024 was not the first legislator kidnapped, Okechukwu Okoye representing Aguata 1 was abducted and killed in May 2022. These should not happen at all if there was any semblance of a security architecture in place. Bank robbery attacks after all ceased in Anambra when armed gangs could not effect a getaway when Obi replaced police security checkpoints with military personnel. Under Soludo the state roads are wide open. The highly corrupt NPF are everywhere collecting money without securing anything. Why shouldn't armed gangs roam around looking for who to abduct? Anambra should be one of the few states where it should be hard to get away with kidnap for ransom. The state is small highly urbanized that can be seen from satellite images. There are less than 1 million vehicles, less than 6 million phone lines, less than 500,000 buildings. The cities and towns have few entry and exit points. Surveillance in such a place should not be difficult. But not with the NPF. Simple data gathering and analysis should uncover criminal patterns. For example, in a population of 6 million with phones track signals of those moving around in vehicles after 6pm. It cannot be more than 5% of the population. Track those roaming around away from their home locations it cannot be more than 0.01% of the population. From that you build profiles. Similarly, to ensure security on roads you need traffic cameras to take pictures of license plates and build profiles of movements of vehicles on key roads in Anambra. You also need surveillance drones in the sky to monitor day and night movements. There are drones that can remain airborne for more than 10 hours and can cover over 200km in range. Then there should be stronger regulation of the transportation sector. Anambra has far too many Keke and shuttles that makes a chaos of traffic and roads. Many Keke operators are unknown operate without identification and some are criminals. Large trucks that deliver goods to markets are used to smuggle people, weapons and contraband into the state. None are checked by security agents. Soludo doesn't have the capacity to secure even himself. Moving around with APC and 15 police is not security. He should take several million dollars and go get Israeli or ex military foreign consultants with a mission to identify armed criminal gangs and weapons trafficking in Anambra. Not this agunechemba silliness. |

The problem with you miserable frustrated night owl is that you are a merchant of darkness. A merchant of evil and miserable bastard that always parades himself as all knowing. Leave this place and get lost, we don’t need your evil demonic energy. You have never been on the positive side. All your ideas are counterproductive and are all advise of an evil man that want to entrap people. Take your ideas back, we don’t need them. If you know so much, you wouldn’t be here. All the knowledge you claim to have is only ends on nairaland. People with the actual ideas are in boardrooms where real issues are being discussed. No one knows who you are, you have no other life than camping on this thread like a vampire day and night. Mktinsight go and get a life, there is no single positive mindset about you. You condemn almost everything about Anambra, including the airport, ICC, etc. now you have turned on the new security outfit. Go and find something to do with your miserable life. Anambra is doing well and under good leadership. abuzz33: |

PROGRESS! The Anambra State security outfit, codenamed Operation Udo Ga-Achi or Agunechemba, has demolished the Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, popularly known as “La Cruise Hotel,” located along the Onitsha-Owerri Road. Authorities revealed that the hotel had been used as a den for kidnappers and other criminal elements. A statement from the Anambra State New Media, shared on X late Saturday, disclosed shocking discoveries within the premises, including over 30 partitioned graves on the top floor of the two-story building, a shrine, live ammunition, and other incriminating items. According to the security operatives, the bust was part of their ongoing crackdown on criminal hideouts in the state. The operation also led to the recovery of blood-stained items and live cartridges, which have been handed over to law enforcement authorities at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) office in Awkuzu. I present news like rap music to keep young people informed - Joshua Gapsiso0:06 / 1:00 In a video shared on Sunday, the team leader described the scene, saying: “We found a shrine, live ammunition, and cartridges while removing the pot used for their rituals. The pot, containing blood, has been handed over to the police as evidence.” He continued:”The top floor of the hotel had well-partitioned graves for over 30 individuals alongside the shrine. This was where they carried out their spiritual activities.” The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Christian Aburime, confirmed the incident. He stated that the demolition, carried out by Agunechemba, followed an investigation linking the hotel to kidnapping operations. “The hotel was destroyed because investigations identified it as a kidnappers’ hideout. We discovered graves, army uniforms, live cartridges, and other items. The local community had been complaining about frequent gunshots at night but were too afraid to report due to fear of reprisal,” Aburime explained. He added that the government’s newly enacted Homeland Security Law of 2025 has empowered citizens and security agencies to act decisively against criminal elements. “We are making significant progress in flushing out criminals from Anambra State. This drastic action is yielding positive results. More buildings linked to crimes such as kidnapping, robbery, and hired killings will be demolished, and their owners prosecuted,” he assured. The demolition has been praised by local residents, who expressed relief and gratitude to the government for addressing the long-standing menace. |

ANSMEDIA:You are an uncouth and uncultured fleabag.......and a foolish one at that! so what stopped you from pointing that out initially..! I am not under any duress to love soludo without conditions! It is our tax money he is spending...............just do your job and shut your trap when the need arises! You posted pix and clips without any close-up pictures, and I responded based on what I could readily observe....and you go off on my comment with your considerable feminine energy .....................I still maintain you must be out of your frigging mind! |

Abufo:But without been told, you ought to know that the project is still under construction, and that there is no way such big project would have been planned and executed without inclusion of tree planting. Allow them to finish and commission it before you start doing the criticism. Meanwhile, I'm not a fan of Soludo but he has been a prudent resource manager who is yet to subject Anambra State to reckless borrowing as others do. I'm yet to see any other candidate for next governorship election that can do better than him |

Henix:If I was to give Soludo a score card this is what it would be: Agriculture - C Budget and Planning - B Education - B Health - A Works - B+ Finance - B Environment - C Industry - C Transport - D Markets - C Security - D Lands - C Women and Children - B ICT - B |
| Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by History555: 9:13am On Jan 27, 2025 |
abuzz33:Soludo score card in security is F. Total failure. He had 3 years to tackle insecurity but waited until it got worse and opposition started using it against him. What a slow governor |
| Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Eboofa: 9:34am On Jan 27, 2025 |
Henix:The Global best practice is that you do not wait till all rendering is completed before you start planting trees! For a state that's ravished by erosion and suffering massive loss of economic and ornamental trees......Anambra state is not doing enough tree planting.........my 8 year old daughter is a member of their elementary school student council here in yankee........one of their projects last semester was to plant trees all around the school yard.................every student council has planted trees in that yard for the last 60 years..............it is simping like this that cost us the palm oil industry.......I dislike the lethargic drip drip way we Africans approach issues! Every road and project must be saturated with trees......for full impact get primary and secondary schools to nurture and plant these trees! Erosion will tear that state into pieces if we do not up our game! |
| Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Henix(m): 9:54am On Jan 27, 2025*. Modified: 10:58am On Jan 27, 2025 |
Eboofa:They have already shown us pictures of the palm trees been planted. I believe the trees will become more visible by the time they finish and commission the project, which is the reason why I asked the guy to allow them finish 1st, so that he can have proper information for a constructive criticism. Like I said earlier, this is a massive project, and there is no way such project would have been planned and executed without a provision for adequate planting of trees |

History555:He's doing better than his predecessor. Let's not pretend that we don't know the state of insecurity before soludo came in which used to be worst than this about 7lga was under UGM... |
| Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by History555: 10:39am On Jan 27, 2025 |
EasternActivist:He should have started earlier not waiting for 3 years. Today all opposition is using insecurity against him. Insecurity has overshadowed all other achievements. It is where you are lacking people will use against you. If you have money no one will say see that poor man |
| Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by EasternActivist: 10:42am On Jan 27, 2025 |
History555:Not true, that's a figment of your thinking. But even if it's true, the so called opposition, must be having a short term memory bc before soludo took over, there was nothing like security in the state. |
