US President Donald Trump on Thursday told world business leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to manufacture in the United States or face tariffs.


Trump stated this in his first major speech to global leaders since returning to the White House this week.

DAILY POST recalls that since his swearing-in on Monday, Trump has said that Washington could impose steep tariffs on major trading partners Canada, Mexico and China as soon as February 1.


The Republican has also signed a flurry of executive orders, pulling the United States out of the Paris Climate Accords and the World Health Organisation.

“Come make your product in America and we will give you among the lowest taxes of any nation on earth.

“But if you don’t make your product in America, which is your prerogative, then very simply you will have to pay a tariff,” he stated.


In his speech, he added that he believed lower oil prices would help end the war in Ukraine instantly.

Trump said he expected to have a very good relationship with China, stressing that all they want is fairness.

For all of you hailing this man. This is gibberish nonsense. The minimum wage in the US is $15 dollars an hour. Any product made in there will be very very expensive. He thinks he love his country but he is about to put them in trouble.

Trump thinks it's a forceful and mechanical approach with tariffs that will address the American decline.

Oga, America has reached its peak, and another order in global trade and power is about to set in.

These steps will create an artificial inflation in the USA soon, and create an isolation of it's economy.

The only way he may delay it, is perhaps, fund more research for inventions, and reduce or cut off excessive spending on proxy wars and foreign aids. Then, re-appropriate the derived proceeds into more manufacturing and exportation.

he is been greedy and you can't force anyone to open industry at your country but rather than entice them. If he increases tariffs you think other countries wouldn't retaliate

I didn't see where they mentioned igbos and hate here.

The thing Nigeria or Africa have to do also, Chinese companies cannot keep on dumping their products here.

They should either manufacture or assemble in Nigeria or they should forget about our great consuming population
