ASP to DSP rank takes almost 4-6years to accomplish. DSP to SP, another 4 years thereabouts.

This is normal though. My dad got my elder brother into getting an appointment from Delta State Govt years ago, my sister got to be a Judge too...

My Uncle got his sons into various positions.

Just connections and nothing else, it took my sister's husband who is a policeman 8 years to get the rank of superintendent of police but this one that is not even up to 4 years as a policeman got it within 4 years. 😁
