True but that’s in Nigeria though. I work in a bank in SA and I love it. Since COVID we’ve been working from home. It’s the best job I’ve had in terms of work life balance.

True, identify a sustainable business then save aggressively and make your move. Private business is tough too but at least you can choose the one that suits your lifestyle and leverage your experience from years of tutelage in a large organization.

Imagine living in Mararaba and working in Jabi, as if the pressure from Madam ND and Co is not enough, the Mararaba -AYA traffic will add to your troubles! The work pressure almost made me run mad.

Whenever I get home, the greeting from my wife seems like a disturbance, but all that changed the very day I dropped their ID card for them.

The kind of work you do has a way of affecting your mental health. I have suffered too much in this life, I deserve some enjoyment! It’s not easy anywhere, please don’t allow anyone to mess with your mental health.

Omo some jobs will make you loose peace of mind🤒

I was in the same situation during the pandemic in 2020.

I knew I was going to be one of those "he collapsed and died" stories if I didn't leave the job, so I left without having another job.

I did have a plan though, which was japa.

5 years later, that was one of the best decisions I ever made, only second to marrying my wife.

In conclusion, if your job is giving you anxiety, high BP and depression, please quit it even if you don't have any plan. Better to be alive and well to face another hustle than to become a victim of Nigerian banking system.

As a mentor once told me, tough times never last but tough people do.

Cheers to everyone going through this madness called life.

Hmm facing same thing now.
After almost 10 years experience, I found myself in long distance workplace. Lagos traffic and stress is making me to hate and almost started having issues with innocent woman's.
I seriously need hybrid form of work. My wife, baby are missing me

It's a known fact that a lot employers in the private sector hate their job so much, they would resign in a heart beat if they had an alternative.

Sadly, the alternative is always slightly better if not worse in the long run.

Say that again! The job of banking generally is a zero sum game irrespective of cadre;payment of bills are quite easy but reasonable progress is not made in terms wealth building, family union or mental health. In one of the old generation banks an Assistant General Manager was fired and immediately it became obvious that he was penniless.

But i hope you get another job as soon as possible, hummm! Because if you no bring money come house , na another big wahala oo. I wish you all the best. One important point women have to note, a man that will give you time to dey sit down for house with you dey look your face will not have money to give you. No man can give a woman time and money. You have to choose one and loose the other. If you want him to give you money, then you should not complain when he is outside hustling for money to give you even if he comes home late

Banking job those years was one of my priorities. Infact, I studied Banking and finance because of that. My interest in the Banking job Faded away completely from the recapitalisation of Soluo in those days and the yearly Mass Sack of Bankers mostly in December. Thank God for my Government job o. Bro, continue enjoying Ur peace of mind o. Hope you don get another job sha or u don establish ur businesses before quitting the Bank.

Another twitter story but this time it came with a terrible advice. Ogah, it's good to quit your job and find your purpose abi happiness but lol. Listen up, this is not case of not leaving your comfort zone or not taking risk, far from it. If you must quit your job then there's something in place. If you quit without a plan, like many before you, you'll learn the hard way.

2. What was the nature of his job. Like was he a bank teller, security or a cleaner at the bank because all nah bank job.
