Now the trend is empty. Assuming it is air peace aircraft, all the haters of good things would have been cursing and wishing air peace can be banned from airspace.

Please thank God for me. Last night we had a harrowing experience on United flight fro. Lagos to Washington, DC. The plane was spiraling out of control, lost its navigational and other tools. We had gone past Abidjan, and were initially to make an emergency landing in Ghana pic.twitter.com/aKqTlUfCRL

Thank God everyone is safe. I agree, Nigeria is not prepared to handle any sort of emergency. Luckily this was not too long into the flight.

U leave airline wen u go blame, dey blame Nigeria for the fault of the aircraft...
While the aircraft was enroute to Nigeria, the proper thing to do was for the airline management services to have all emergency services ready and waiting.....
Fire services, security, emergency health services, hazmat and all of that....

Instead they had to wait until the plane landed and now you're foolishly blaming Nigeria for what

All these idiots will always look for every means possible to abuse Nigeria...
Some of our useless leaders have done alot of damage to Nigeria but the most damage done is from we the masses....

We should learn useful lessons from this incident.

First, accident can happen to any airline irrespective of their age long tradition of flying. United Airline is one of the biggest airlines in the world,and it's domiciled in United States.

If this had happened to any Nigerian airline, especially Air peace, you will be hearing incidiary remarks from ethnic bigots why Nigerian airlines are not fit to ply international routes. The noise will be loudest... Ban the airline from flying!

Until we love ourselves and eschew ethnic bigotry, Nigeria will never move forward or make any meaningful progress.

I know that Pilots are trained to refusing flying any plane, if they have an iota of doubt about any plane they are scheduled to fly; they should please obey this rule without compromise.

Harrowing experience, better imagined than experienced. I am beginning to suspect some sort of sabotage on Boeing carriers. What are the odds that all recent air mishaps are happening only to Boeing planes?

You see why I don't fight airlines whenever there is a delay and they communicate the reason for the delay eg technical problem, bad weather etc..but u see some passengers them go begin comment giving bad review as if them get spare life.

based on what was said "they lost their tools", 787 uses a glass cockpit.

You dont turn back because of turbulence, except there is a medical emergency or your plane is damaged.....turbulence is normaland it doesnt last, you fly through turbulence or you fly around it. It is either malfunctioning flight sensors and/or loss of flight controls. again based on the comment "we lost our tools" it suggest they lost flight controls (hence the turbulence like conditions) and it later came back (which is why they were able to return to Lagos) suggesting failure of the electronic flight control system somewhere. it is a fly by wire airplane with no manual controls though it is supposed to have redundancy.

Furthermore, to the best of my knowledge, though possible, turbulence is not common on that flight route as you can see below, they only got as a far as Ivory coast.
