ednut1:So you 'japa'd,' got Canadian citizenship, and now you're a philosopher on Nigerian problems from the comfort of a heated room? Nice flex! Don’t forget to thank the same ‘delulu’ Nigerians still grinding here for the Afrobeats global domination you're proud of. By the way, how’s it going paying taxes to oyinbo streaming companies and enjoying healthcare your Canadian taxes fund? Must be nice being a spectator while others fight for change." |

ednut1:Yes, the ‘ludo’ analogy—very creative! But at least we’re in the game trying to roll a six, while you’re over there watching from the sidelines, eating poutine, and claiming moral high ground. Don’t worry, when the ludo ends, we’ll save you a piece of the success story you gave up on. |

Solofresh2:https://www.nairaland.com/7503660/adelaide-australia-good-place-relocate I knew it. You failed at japa now you are bitter. I wasted my time engaging you 😂 CC Tensazangetsu20 |

ednut1:Failed at japa? Nah, I just didn’t feel like running away to become a keyboard warrior in the snow. But hey, enjoy your ‘high standard of living’ while still obsessing over Nigerian politics. It’s giving ‘I left, but Nigeria didn’t leave me.’ 😂 Don’t freeze out there! |

tensazangetsu20:Oh, so now you’ve upgraded to calling on the gods? Better leave the gods out of it before they deport you back here for disturbing their peace |

Solofresh2:you didn’t feel like indeed. More like you don’t qualify for their immigration programs. You don chop today? |
| Re: What If After You Japa your Body Breaks Down And You Can't Work ? by Solofresh2: 3:21pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
ednut1:Ah, so you’ve become the Canadian immigration officer now? Congrats on the promotion! But don’t worry about me—at least I’m eating food with flavor, not bland snow sandwiches. Hope you’re not too busy converting CAD to Naira for bragging rights! |

Solofresh2:Nigerian food stuff plenty here including agege bread, cat fish, cow leg, assorted, yam, spices.🤪 Official government data also show food imports from Nigeria to Canada lol. You are simply frustrated and jealous you were not able to japa

AfahaAbia:My brother, this travel section is designed for Nigerians in diaspora sharing tips, experiences and insights into life abroad or people who have interest in traveling. This section is not for Nigerians in Nigeria who are comfortable, happy in Nigeria and are not interested in traveling. If someone is in that category then it is not expected that they come and be creating useless threads for japa matter when they should have better things to focus on. A lot of people present an image of anti japa just to hide their own frustration of failure to japa themselves. OP has been bursted on this. You claim you no like babe, she is not your spec, you don't need her bla bla bla... but everytime you have something to say about her, her name is always on your mouth. My brother, that person like the girl die but suffering from rejection complex. |

ednut1:So you ran all the way to Canada just to recreate Nigeria in your kitchen? Eating agege bread while claiming 'high standard of living'—it’s giving homesick vibes. Don’t worry, when we fix Nigeria, you can come back and eat it fresh without importing nostalgia! |

Solofresh2:he say when we fix. Like you matter in the scheme of things lmao. Last last na still money from diaspora dey save the country . In 2023 about 20b usd came into Nigeria as diaspora remittances. Keep wailing
|
| Re: What If After You Japa your Body Breaks Down And You Can't Work ? by Solofresh2: 9:31pm On Jan 24, 2025 |
ednut1:Yes, the ‘diaspora savior’ narrative. Sending remittances to fix the mess you ran away from—talk about paying your guilt tax! While you’re busy converting dollars to Naira, we’re here doing the real work to make the country livable again. But don’t worry, we’ll keep the lights on for you when your nostalgia brings you crawling back. |

Solofresh2:here we go again using “we” . You dont matter in this he scheme of things in Nigeria lol Tinubu came from diaspora, same with femi Gbaja, omo agege and many more. I can still come back and contest political post in future. Na money and connect go matter then 😁 |

ednut1:So you ran to Canada just to come back later and join the same system you’re criticizing? Big plans to be the next diaspora politician funded by agege bread profits, abi? Don’t forget, it’s the same ‘we’ on the ground you’ll beg for votes when the time comes. Better start practicing how to kneel properly! |

Okay, so I posted about cold weather gear, but I think the board ate it because I included prices. smh For people who want to be prepared, here's a list of stuff you should invest in: - windproof jacket and pants - long johns (thermal underwear) - fleece jacket - puffer jacket - hat, gloves, scarf, thick socks - flannel pajamas and sheets - fleece blanket - hothands warmers (hot packs for every part of the body that last 6+ hours) All of this stuff is affordable. And it's so warm you could even sweat in super cold weather. If you're in a windy place, you need the windproof stuff because that cold is on a different level. |
