Apparently, you don't watch their games so let me educate you on it. First, Garnacho has serious Lapses in concentration and he often doesn't track runner which makes Dalot or any LB there face waves and waves of attacking threat especially under Ten Hag. I can't say he is a hard presser too given that Man u themselves don't press high up.

Garnacho has terrible ball control especially while running with the ball. He often exposes the ball too much which makes him terrible at dribbling. This makes him highly unsuitable to play for us given that we often face low block teams. This as opposed to united who prefer winning the ball deep in their half and launching a quick counter attack.

Garnacho is the most selfish united player and has terrible decision making. Shoots from awkward angle when a pass would have been a better option. Prefer to run at defenders only to attempt a cross 70% of the time and they are mostly blocked.

Basically, Garnacho play similarly to Werner and Mudryk and all have terrible IQs.

I know a talented player when I see one and Garnacho is nothing close to being talented. I will choose George over him anytime any day. Why splash such money on a 20 year old activity former when we can give George a chance and maybe go for an experienced winger in the summer.

In an unprecedented, and unexpected rate of performance, he took us to 2nd on the table at some point. Not a single Chelsea fan said before hand that Maresca was even remotely capable of doing this. The reason y'all are angry now is because you have seen what he can do, and now you expect more. That means he restored confidence and expectation. And this is one of the many things he's done to deserve being left alone.

Re:GK, the tactical advantage is with the way he plays out of the back. Maresca expects his GK to become a fourth man in defence, for increased passing lanes and choices. The resultant effect, is allowing two midfielders to take up far advanced positions in 8s, the two wingers pining opposition FBs, tactically shaping up to be in isolated inverted positions, no 9 coming deep into midfield to aid a channel of receiving passes from same GK and/or CB, and finally, allowing one of our full backs to invert into midfield, in a bid to overloading the midfield with 5 players.

It all starts from the GK being a ball-playing one. I appreciate that not everyone sees this tactical nuance but it's there. And that's why he does what he does. It's just unfortunate that Chronic Gambler is the best of all the ball-playing GKs we have.

The point is that it's not a thoughtless move by Maresca.

Sure, Maresca took Chelsea to second in the table, which is impressive, but we can't ignore the fact that the team's performance has been shaky lately. He may have restored some confidence, but at a club like Chelsea, expectations are naturally high.

When it comes to the goalkeeper situation, I understand the desire for a ball-playing keeper, but that shouldn't come at the cost of basic reliability. Sanchez has been consistently error-prone, and that raises a serious question: how can we trust him to fulfill such a crucial role? Maresca might have a vision for how he wants to play, but a keeper who constantly spreads panic and makes schoolboy errors—leading to dropped points—is a major liability. I've seen us comfortably lead games, only for The Chronic Gambler to gift the other team a goal out of nowhere, and this has happened way too often. He doesn't need more confidence; he needs to be benched.

Also, if a ball-playing ability is all that is required for that number one spot, why did we let Kepa go? He’s a more reliable option in that role compared to The Chronic Gambler, who seems to be more of a liability than a solid choice.

So while I appreciate the tactical nuances you're highlighting, it's tough to justify sticking with a keeper who is more of a liability instead of an asset. Maresca really needs to strike a balance between his tactical preferences and the essential need for a reliable goalkeeper.

All the aforementioned players started at an academy somewhere especially Eto'o whoes youth career is well documented at Real Madrid Castila. Even Drogba although a late bloomer played for a youth academy. I am not going to make excuses for Jackson but almost all footballers must start somewhere. Either at the youth academy or a local side. Jackson played for a local youth side in Senegal before joining the juvenile Villarreal side aka Villarreal B. That's not an excuse for him but he needs to wake up. If I was the coach, I'll make him my left winger.
