What has religion got to do with it? Nigeria is done for: Politicians are mercilessly looting the treasury at federal, state and lg levels, (retired) security personnel in collusion with other elements are busy looting minerals across the country and almost everyone who is who in the Niger Delta is engaged in oil theft. All this illegality being perpetrated with absolute impunity!
Whither Nigeria!
God save our dear native land - the country is in dear need of selfless, patriotic God-fearing and visionary leaders.

If Peter Obi didn't raise the alarm on oil smuggle by those guys nothing would have been done by now. We all know they are the ones behind most of illegal smuggling activities in Nigeria, including solid and liquid minerals, arms and ammunition. But because they've got connection with the presidency, they are sacred cows.

Daily Post Nigeria

Ifreke Inyang Ifreke Inyang

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has said politicians’ sins are forgiven when they join the ruling party.

Oshiomhole made this statement on Thursday, while welcoming new members to the party, at the APC presidential campaign in Benin.

As he reeled out names of those who have defected from the PDP to the APC, he said: “I am told that there are a lot of very very senior people from PDP who have decided to join forces with President Buhari to take the broom to sweep away PDP and to continue to ensure that APC continues to preside all over Nigeria.

“It includes my own brother, my friend who comes from my own clime, Henry Duke Genebe. He is the former organising secretary of PDP and we also have former vice chairman PDP and leader of Edo North of PDP. We also have my brother Chief Esheshi Godwin. He is also former council chairman and my very dear friend. We have quite a number of other leaders who have come.

“We have quite a number of other leaders who have come… in fact, once you have joined APC, all your sins are forgiven.”

Can you please explain how Pandora Bitter Obi is better than these Generals.

newsbook:
Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has re-echoed his allegation that his predecessor, Mr Peter Obi demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him for sponsoring his election in 2013.

Obiano and his predecessor, Obi have had a frosty relationship shortly after his swearing in.

Obi has however denied that he demanded for the sum of N7.5billion from Obiano, saying that his problem with him was his (Obiano’s) underperformance.

Obi said if he needed the said sum, he would have simply taken it from the N75billion he left for the Obiano administration at the end of his tenure.

But Governor Obiano while speaking on Wednesday evening at Ezechima Primary School, Onitsha where he inaugurated his reelection campaigns in Onitsha North Council Area, said the clarification became necessary because of the recent accusations against him by the former Governor.

He stated that his predecessor had demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him as funds spent in prosecuting the election on his behalf, but that he refused to pay the money because it was not true.

Obiano said he refused to pay because he strongly believed that public funds should be used for public good, and not to settle godfathers.

These, he said, was the reason they fell apart.

The governor said that another reason he refused to pay the money was because he was aware that enough money was raised for his campaign by his friends and associates, all of which were never accounted for by the former governor.

On the actual sum the former Governor claimed he left behind, Governor Obiano made it clear that he inherited liability of about N127 billion debt from him in contracts awarded and other responsibilities, which he has been religiously undertaking in the spirit of continuity.

He said Obi flagged off several roads even on the day he was leaving office and saddled him with the burden of paying for it, but he assured the people that he has his eyes on the ball and will not allow anything to distract him from fulfilling his promises.

The Chairman of the Governor’s Re-election Campaign Committee, Chief Victor Umeh said APGA as the political spirit of Ndigbo, has in the past three and half years, availed Anambra good governance at its best, reminding the people that the upcoming guber election was not about Willie Obiano but about ensuring that the state remained free from political godfatherism.

A former Central Bank Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo in his speech said that at this time, the State needs a tested hand like Governor Obiano who has the experience and expertise to effectively steer her affairs.

Higher class and selfish people don't care about regions or religion, they do what benefit them and leave ordinary persons wailing. Take the issue of the Tinubu tax reform, a lot of people insulted the North and urged the president not to compromise, but lastly he compromised and the issue resolved amicably. But can you do the same in the subsidy removal that benefits all of them?
Re: Retired Generals Behind Illegal Mining, Says Oshiomhole by Myrepublic(m): 7:25am On Jan 25, 2025
Allegedly ,I heard the minning sites are always guided by military.. That means Osho is stating facts on this.. I also heard there are some special dams in the north also that supplies electricity to some...... Also guided by our military.

Military contributes alot to most of the shit happening in this country

When you go to these areas, you are not allowed to make videos or take pictures.

They will seize your camera, and check to ensure you didn't record secretly. They will return it back to you, when they like .

These guys called generals are part of the problems we have. They don't have big hearts, they only think of themselves, they want to be rich like the politicians, so tell me, who go check who for corruption? and mostly feel untouchable by the Nigerian state.

Why do we have too much generals(retired/serving) and high security challenges in the land at the same time? Cut the number of these men you call generals, cos they ain't worth it. Just the other day, one dey slap one boy for road. Gaddafi was a colonel but did way better than any man who ever wore a uniform in Nigeria and called himself a general.

They have one stupid mentality of we are better than you/them. So, we can do anyhow and nothing will happen.

Both past presidents and the present President are kind of scared of them cos the power of the people is divided. If only we the people can unite and support an upright man who's fearless!!!! Most of them case go be sorry, but for now nothing dey happen.
The ones serving would later retire and join them, too. The illegal mining business would expand the more.
God bless you. May God deliver innocent citizens. But we have to all know the problem and put our small efforts to stop it.

He is stating the obvious.

Some of these miners are financiers of political parties.

Will the government do anything about it, NO!
But Jagaban said he financed his election 100%.

That's when to expect traction in that quest to douse such exploitative exercises, but sadly corruption cannot kill itself.

Some serving Governor's and ex governor's Including high politicians are also involve in the illegal mining.
All Chinese Company's and Chinese immigrants in Nigeria must be checked mate.
Chinese are also heavily involved in illegal mining across the country.
They also buy huge quantity of solid minerals in the black market from illegal miner's.
How they manage to smuggle this huge quantity of illegal solid minerals out of Nigeria is what I can't figure out.
Our Airports, Seaports and boarder's are just too porous.
The new Sea Port in Ibeju-Lekki Lagos state is under Chinese government and they will control it for the next 48 years. You think Chinese no get plan to loot this country, de play. If you go to the sea Port you will cry for Nigeria, you will see how Chinese are looting this country.

You know the situation very well, especially with the Asians. What most Nigerians don't know is that most of these Asians that are involved in all sorts of illegalities in Africa/Nigeria, are members of some sophisticated syndicates. And that some of those syndicates are tied to their home governments. You have to ask yourself; who gave them the sophisticated coordinates to locate these minerals in the heart of conflict areas like Bornu and Zamfara? And how did they manage to get to those hostile interior areas safely, without being waylaid by armed groups?
You are very much on point.
Why will Nigerians in places like Zamfara State and Sokoto state are at risk to bandit's, but the Chinese in those areas are untouched.
