I have advice some many guys about tramadol here on nairaland I spent 14years of my life consuming tm on a daily basis untill I develop serious heart problems that nearly took my life. If not God that help to quit that shit. Guy chose between life or death to continue is death to quit is life is ur choice. U are still complaining of seizures, heart and respiratory issues is still coming. If u are reading this comment and u are still taking tramadol is just a matter of time u will understand what am saying. Lemme give u guys advice as an og for tm make sure u have coconut or charcoal in the house always incase of overdose or seizures or cardiac arrest. Good luck

I have come across a lot of young folks with tramadol addiction.

It is hard for them to overcome, especially in Nigeria where rehabilitation does not come cheap...

This medication is going to run your finances dry and eventually KILL you if you don't stop!

I have seen people take overdose and die in their sleep.(If you doubt me, haven't you started having difficulty breathing at night? Haven't you noticed that you have been loosing weight?)

Okay, I my intention is not to get you scared, but to help you as I have helped others.


Here are my recommendations:
1) You need to rehabilitate yourself (if you can't afford one) by changing your location temporarily and explaining to that your babe you want to impress (I don't mean to be rude)

2) Before doing number 1, you should see a psychiatrist (don't worry, you are not mad) who will help you with some professionals recommendations and prescribe you some medications to help with the withdrawal symptoms like the seizure, diarhoea, fever, palpitations, sleepless nights that I anticipate you will have when you do number 1.

3) If you succeed with 1&2, then set aside the money you would have used to buy that tramadol and use it to get yourself something you like (cloths, wrist watch, shoes,..) every month. This is called the reward model and it helps prevent relapse.

4) If you succeed with 1&2 and before you embark on these, let that your babe know about it, or if you can't, break up with her, because your poor performance after leaving tramadol would affect your relationship and you don't want to go back to where you are coming from. If she's understanding, then, you have got a great support system. Hopefully you will get your bed ego back in a couple of months.

If you only take the pills once or twice, you won't feel anything even though the side effects will still not be so pleasant.

Our security man in my former work place only confessed to addition of this tramadol on the hospital bed when both of his kidneys failed.

He hids to take it daily for good 3yrs until he became sick , legs and stomach swells.

When medical reports showed that his kidneys were damaged. He now acknowledged what he has been doing in hiding.

A 28 year old young man just died few days afterwards.

I know a guy who has run berserk because of tramadol. He now roams around one of the markets in Lagos. Do everything you can to put a stop to your addiction to keep your sanity. Ask God to give you needed strength. Think of the worst that can happen to you and fight for your life.

Please try everything possible to stop it oh, it also leads to convulsions and possibly epilepsy. Tramadol is one of the worst addictions you can get yourself involved in. I almost missed my exams towards 2011, because of tramadol capsule. Thank God I conquered it
