Obasa should just calm down. He has enjoyed many years as speaker of the house and represented his constituent for more than a decade. Changes is part of life and that is the beauty of democracy. There is no need of fighting back. It is better to leave the stage when the ovation is loudest. Wishing him Goodluck in his future political aspiration.

Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) as the name implies is just an advisory body, they have no constitutional authority and cannot implement any advice. Therefore, it’s the same democratic principle of having a presidential adviser or a political adviser and there’s nothing illegal about it

The GAC is made up of experienced politicians and experts from different walks of life. The House of Lords in the UK is an advisory body for parliament

There was no committee set by the assembly members to investigate the allegations neither was there any invite for him to defend himself. They just wake up one morning impeach and replace him and expect him to accept without a fight back. If you accuse a person of corruption present your evidences if he is unable to defend himself then remove him.

Obanikoro is right. Adefuye's statement can be misconstrued as the stance if the GAC. A Constituted elder should not just talk at will. Every office as its level of decorum, if you cannot abide to it, do not join it

To the best of my knowledge fmr Senator Adefuye being an foundation member of the defunct AD, has more clout in APC than Obanikoro who has romanced the PDP before retracing his steps back to APC

As long as President Tinubu is alive Lagos APC will only rumble but will never stumble.

Much as some of us do not agree with Obasa’s arrogance and overbearing nature, we do not agree with the words of Obanikoro.

Belonging to a group does not take away your right to disagreement with certain words and actions of the same group. People are entitled to their opinions. If their opinions are not allowed - having voiced them out privately severally for attention - they may choose to present their disagreements publicly.

Adefuye has been very steadfast with APC, starting with their days in AD, unlike Obanikoro who left to enjoy himself with PDP. Would he have returned to APC if PDP won the election in 2015? Obanikoro has no reason to poke his fingers in the eyes of Adefuye in that manner.

We expect the dissent in the Governor’s advisory council. We expect that there must be disagreements that can threaten the group. How they hold the group together to avoid a break up is up to them. They were lucky that the likes of Ambode did not pick up the ticket of another party in the last election. That would have been nunc dimitis for them in Lagos.
