Oyo is being heavily over taxed
Oyo paid ₦272.41 billion in VAT

Entire SE paid N101.10 Billion in VAT

It is not fair

Oyo deserves Tax Refund and Tax rebates
Oyo alone is far more productive than yeaat

SE is the least habitable and most parasitic region. No amount of foolish questions will invalidate the facts.
how is the SE "the east habitable and most parasitic region"?

how do questions invalidate facts?

why particular about SE?

is it the only region that received more than what it contributed to VAT?

How much was taken from Imo, Abia and Anambra oil and gas? Don't be mischievous, tell the whole story.

Lagos wants to keep their vat despite being built with coal and oil money from Enugu and other states. The north has kept it's gold, now Lagos wants to keep the country's collective vat.

Remember, once this vat succeeds, full resource control will be pushed and activated. You cannot keep the nation's collective vat, turn around to also take the natural resources from ss and se.
🤣🤣🤣all load of rubbish that belongs to the waste bin….so it’s coal from Enugu that is used to build Lagos now? Nothing wey we no go hear from Nya Miri 🤣🤣

So pls tell us how oyo state generate more Vat than the whole of your parasitic region? Abi it was coal and palm oil money from cursed Alaibo that was also used?

You lot just keep coming up nonsense excuses for your failure as a people. You better use google and see how Vat is been generated and besides Ondo state alone produce more crude than all the state in your shitty region put together…mgbeke feeling funky grin

Foolish Analysis.
If all Igbo businesses are moved to SE, Anambra alone will be richer than the entire SW and North combined.

The VAT you boast of are contributed by Igbos. Your people do not pay tax neither do they do any lucrative business.

Any Yoruba landlord depends on Igbos to get good house rent, same in the North.

You think your forefathers who fought civil war for three years are fools? They know that without the industrious Igbos, Nigeria is dead.
Which tribe imports goods in Nigeria?
Which tribe pays business permit and tax to state government?

In the North, if Igbos are celebrating Igbo day, commercial activity in the whole city is dwarfed. It is as if there is a curfew until they resume back.

Please, I dare you to divide the country. Tell Tinubu to make the move.
businesses are established close to their target market so igbo businesses that move to the SE Anambra will spend more transporting their goods to their target which means they will lose money and gradually go out of business and close down the business.

which is also the reason your ancestors started the civil war because after independence Ahmadu Bello, Akintola were working towards replacing i:gbos who had federal jobs in the north and western Nigeria due to the British favoring i:gbos over other Nigerians...

You said Yoruba people don't pay tax but also call them landlords, Landlords have to pay property taxes every year so stop contradicting yourself.

Don't compare SW and the north. the north does not have the billions of $$$ diaspora remittances that the SW has which also helps the SW purchasing power...

if i:gbos were industrious then the i:gbos won't be living outside the SE and you won't claim to have job in Ogun state and brag about job in Ogun state... you will be bragging about jobs in Anambra not Ogun.

importing is a bad form of trade and it affects the balance of payment of a country.. so bragging about importing goods is pure foolishness..

Stop your negative yarns. In Lagos, who are the major contributors to the tax regime that swelled up the IGR you are making noise?

Do your research and let us know. It's not Ronu businesses that swelled up the IGR.

And besides your petty trade and your 2*2 shops are not even up to what Adenuga Glo alone pay as tax and we have told you empty noise makers severally to locate your substandard wares back to your shitty region where they need the tax more or is it your tax that also makes oyo state generate more tax than all the state in your shitty region?

ONITSHA ALONE AND LAGOS PORT AND IG IS FINISHED.

THEN WE MOVE TO RELOCATING OUR OIL AND GAS COMPANIES.

AFTER THAT WE WILL ASK TO SEE SW VAT CONTRIBUTIONS.

Validated:
Good reason Nigeria needs restructuring. Let SE receive the VAT on imports at Ontsha head bridge and stop paying at Lagos Port, we want to check something. Then, they can also deduct the input from same collections.

Right now, while Lagos collect VAT output from imports, SE deduct input VAT from local output for VAT that was collected at Lagos port. That is robbing Paul and leaving Peter buoyant.
You dont know what you are saying. Go and check the figure properly and you will see that OYO state collected more than all the 5 states of south east.....just OYO state alone. so this not just about Lagos

Yorubas are finally happy they have succeeded in destabilizing and destroying Southeast economically and politically.

Your decades of ganging up with North to marginalize Igbos politically have finally yielded fruit for you guys. You can now celebrate.

The illegal boundary adjustments done by Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba Military Heads of States that took oil rich Imo, Abia and Anambra communities and placed them in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, etc to reduce Igbo economic power in revenue sharing have paid off for you Yorubas. You guys have won.

Your decades of abandoning federal infrastructures in the Southeast amid Igbo people's cries, and making sure every key federal infrastructure, government bodies, agencies and whatnot got concentrated in Lagos has paid off for you guys, you can now rejoice and jubilate, Southeast is forever gone.

Also cheering Buhari on to use heavy militarization, brazen nepotism and cheating to destabilize Southeast by foisting Hope Uzodinma on Imo people against their wish, turning peaceful IPob to a semi radical group and using state sponsored actors, including Fulani militia groups pretending to be herdsmen to cause unknown gunmen, kidnapping, insecurity in the Southeast have finally paid off for you guys. But hear me well, it is not yet an Uhuru for you guys.

Yes Southeast today has become a shadow of itself just within 8 years of APC evil leadership and you guys are laughing and mocking Igbos. No issue, God will keep us all alive to see how this movie will end for the whole Nigeria.

I keep repeating it, with the crop of Yoruba youths Bola Tinubu's APC have raised in Yoruba land, Yoruba's future looks bleak. It may look like nothing now, but time will bring you guys to reality. Your forefathers and fathers followed the path of peace, wisdom and justice which is why Yoruba land is enjoying some progress and peace today, but Bola Tinubu is turning you guys to treacherous, inhumane, unjust and lying devil's in the name of Emilokan politics, remember every action of man comes with its equal reward in time.

If you guys do not desist from this arrogance and senseless attacks and political gangup and instigation other tribes against Igbos for your selfish and devilish political gains, Southwest will pay a heavy price not from Igbos but from natural forces, it's a must, time will make you understand how life works.

You guys have used your tribal religious bigotry, treachery and gangup with the North to sideline Igbos politically for decades and still managed to use it to snatch Obi's mandate in 2023, instead of you guys to sue for peace, embrace peace, extend hand of friendship and call bygones bygones now that you guys are completely in charge, instead you guys are rather using the influence to intimidate, oppress, destabilize and ridicule Southeast and Igbos and you think you and Tinubu controls the affairs of this world? Time will shock you guys, continue with your arrogance and foolery, it will be too shocking, no man will comprehend when its ripe.
You have the right to your opinion but don't mention Yoruba. most Yoruba are not in the category of those that you referred to. Yoruba voted massively for OBI in last election and will still vote for him again. you shouldn't generalize.

WHAT THEY WANT NOW IS TO STEAL SE VAT ENTITLEMENT.

A MONEY THAT IS FAR LESS THAN WHAT WE ACTUALLY DESERVE AND GENERATE IN ACTUAL FACT THAT OUR ECONOMY WERE MOVED TO LAGOS.

BRING OUR ECONOMY OUT OF LAGOS AND RESOURCE CONTROL, THEN WE SEE YOUR SW VAT.

It's not only them that knows the trick of mining our oil and gas and giving us peanuts in the name of allocations.

If you are not happy, let's do regional governments or full state autonomy.

Am sick and tired of people from parasitic states opening useless threads like this one to mock those feeding them.
Firstly, it’s your mumu kinsman that abolished the once flourishing regional system of governance for his own selfish benefit and greed. He wanted everything centralized under the federal government so he could get more.
Additionally, I’m glad we are now gradually seeing who the real orphans and parasites are. Truly, the empty drums make the loudest noise. It’s just funny and ironic how the northerner governors are the ones crying while the real parasites aren’t even saying anything😂😂

There are millions of westerners in the East as well. The Yoruba leader in Anambra says there are over 500k in the state alone. Lagos may have over two million Igbos but that is because of the Lagos'high population. The SE is around the size of Oyo state but it is very rich in water resources and can support far more people than Oyo state. It currently supports around 250 percent of Oyo population. Yorubas are also well dispersed within Nigeria. The same is true for all ethnic groups in the country.

What's the quantity of oil they have?
