This thing is not too difficult.

I think the 1963 republican constitution would have procedures on how the Prime minister can be replaced should something happen.

There is no constitution that will make it possible for an appointed Minister to take over government when the leader of the Senate, the Senate President was alive, not possible under any nation's constitution.

All Nigerian history books and documentaries also made this clear by referring to then Senate President Nwafor Orizu as Acting President from 1966, which means constitutionally, he was the next in line to take over government and not one yeye appointed Minister whose ministerial portfolio changed thrice within a space of 4 years lol.

Ignorance is a disease.

Your PhD is a waste

Or have you forgotten dipcharima was also a member of the parliament.

When NPC (balewa & Akintola alliance) the dominant party choose him to succeed balewa, as acting, why did orizu object and handed over power to his brother Ironsi.

What was Ironsi role in a parliamentary system of government.

Desist from trying to distort and twist the truth.

The coup was ibo plan to dominate other tribe.
Orizu never handed power to Ironside
All the politicians were disorganized and disoriented. Ironsi sensed that and took over power without a murmur from the politicians present at the meeting

How could it be an Igbo coup when there were willing Northerners and Westerners involved in the coup?

Besides, even the British knew it was not an Igbo coup.

While the names of the other ranks is subject to confirmation, the army numbers appended against most of them are evidently spurious.

Any army number without year of enlistment embedded within it is a red flag already.

Besides, numbers running into 6 and 7 figures in the 60's up to the 70's were non existent.
The numbers of the Igbo officers are authentic but that of the Yorubas and Northerners are spurious abi?!
Your hypocrisy will find you out

The President is the head of state while the Prime Minister is the head of government if I recall correctly.

The President’s role was largely ceremonial although he had reserve powers to exercise in order to check the excesses of the Prime Minister and cabinet.

Something roughly along those lines when I read the 1963 constitution.

Lemme quicklly set the record straight before they started given wrong narrative. ....

Kaduna. Nzogwu was the soldier who led the team to the Premier Palace, as well as the team's commander. In fact, 80 percent of the names on the list were unaware of the operation to be carried out that day when Kaduna Nzogbwu summoned them for the Zombie Operation. The commander directed them to the Premier Palace on that fateful day for this deadly operation.

Because all of these people might show up.and be saying that it was not just Igbo soldiers that went to the premier palace to kill the premier...this is purely propaganda...those who know the truth..know.Kaduna Nzogniw led this deadly operation with his soldiers. However, the soldiers were unaware of the operation, and they only had to obey Kaduna Nzogbuw, the team's commander....
It was not an Igbo Coup it was a Nigerian Coup.

Even if your Kinsmen were to be given their own Country with bigoted hate-filled souls like You, growth and success is close to impossible.

Zik was a ceremonial President though he had some executive power but he was more of Head of State while Belewa the Prime Minister was the Head of government and ran the day to day affairs of the government of Nigeria which made him more powerful than Zik

Their "master" was actually the architect behind the crisis. He most likely used that to destroy, remove or weaken the resistant forces in place of more loyal ones, because in the world system you have to be fully loyal to it or it'll just keep moving against you.
Ofcourse, it used the typical divide and conquer tactics which is still very much in place. The usual victims in any society are usually the less loyal ones, and he doesn't care what you believe as long as what you believe doesn't interfere with his agenda. It's either you're completely loyal to the global system or he uses the loyal ones.
Certain tribes seem to be more loyal than others. The igbos for example are usually the least loyal. It would be almost impossible to convince them to accept global homosexuality order. The other tribes could tolerate it alittle if their elites or very popular personalities say nothing against it. Whatever feels very evil is rejected by igbos even if the system allows it. But this attitude is hypocritical in the sight of GOD since HE wants full loyalty and total rejection of every evil. Hence HE could allow the enemy or the system to have its way against people who do not fully serve it.

Reminds me of Lord Lugard’s assessment of the major tribes in Nigeria.

There were coups in Africa, South America and Asian nations, because these bloc of nations had significant votes to influence voting outcomes in the UN to the chagrin of the imperialists.

In the 1960s, the imperialists sponsored crises and coups in these nations to eliminate popular leaders and replace them with puppets to do their bidding. That way, they control the economic resources of these nations and also maintain their control of affairs in the UN.

International politics is really dirty.

Only madness n bigotry will makw any igbo call Amadu Bello a bigotry and not reference the biggest bigot to walk the face of the Earth in Nnamdi Azikwe.

When hopeless foolish Igbos like you claim the igbo coup was a false narrative do you imply it was a Yoruba or Hausa coup ?!

ottersberger:
Ahmadu Bello was an unrepentant tribalist, the likes of which had never been seen in the history of Nigeria at that time. While Nnamdi Azikiwe worked to maintain a Nigerian union, sir Ahmadu Bello, and to a lesser extent chief Obafemi Awolowo, worked to maintain a regional dichotomy.

The false narrative of an Igbo coup was a careful distortion of the truth designed to vilify those who dared to resist a feudal system that was foreign to their nature. There was never an Igbo coup, ever. In January 1966, young elites in the Nigerian military agreed to rescue the country from the clutches of corrupt politicians.

It has become convenient for certain ignorant youths to regurgitate an unfortunate lie used to malign and marginalize a founding member of the Nigerian Union for standing up for themselves and demanding to be treated with justice and dignity.
