I am a 31 year old nairalander
I have been active on nairaland since 2010
I have a little issue and I need some advice
I had to use this account to post it

So I am working for an indigenous oil and gas firm at Apapa. The salary is poor, I take home 80k every month but I see additional perks like 60k monthly but the job is not fulfilling.
The work environment is toxic, no medical care-I had a serious injury that made me stay at home for 3 months, it was only my 2 colleagues that helped me financially through out that incident and lastly the theft issue is really high. I want to leave but my direct colleagues will be affected and too much pressure will be on them.
I have 2 IT side hustles though that pay roughly x3 of my salary and they are virtual jobs. But I am paranoid because they are one man businesses, anything can happen.
Please what do you suggest I do

First and foremost, how sustainable is your side IT hustle, and what online or IT related skills do you have? I recommend saving aggressively from your side hustle, then quitting that slave trade of a job. I once did a personal manager job of 100k and kickbacks of 20 - 30k monthly. This was from 2010 - 2017. I felt so lazy and comfortable with such miserable pay. It dawned on me later on, when even the 130k couldn't meet my personal needs. I regretted every single day I spent in such a time wasting job.

Yea it's sustainable
I have been with one for almost a year now
While the other one, I am 6 months probation but it's promising.
I have savings of close to a million.
I am into WordPress and e-commerce virtual assistant but I want to learn more IT skills

Cool, then I see no need to enslave yourself on such a horrible job. Quit and focus more on improving your skillset, thereby increasing your self-worth. .
