I have been advised to change my gear oil. I wanted to confirm if it is okay to use Oando (NNPC) Dextron3 for my Honda Accord 2006 gearbox.

I heard there are a lot of adulterated Honda DW1 oil out there.

You advise and recommendation would be appreciated 👍

You'd need at least a good dextron 4 oil. Go to Total petrol station and buy their MVLV transmission fluid for use.

Yes. It's an alternative fluid that can be used.

It has changed to Honda Z1. And my car is 11yrs now, never had gear issues

I just bought ATF DW-1 for 25k. Is the NNPC own cheaper.

Are you sure this is the genuine DW1?

The DW1 I know are sold in 1 quartz container. One costs about same price as this big one you posted.

I've paid for it but I haven't used it yet. The mechanic recommended it. I can ask him not to use it if its not safe. But I bought the car as a Naija use and I don't know what type of Oil was inside. What Oil do you recommend. It's a EOD 05

Genuine honda dw1(only available in 1ltr) is not cheap. I got mine for 15k each last year. If the Total is compatible, you are better off using it than the one in the 4 litre can you shared.

If you can also find genuine Aisin automatic transmission fluid compatible with honda dw1 or more, you should be fine

the one I’m using almost all others are idiots here Was 3k 2 years ago. Now it around 7k same bottle as this one.

This is not original dw1. Don't use it inless you're ready to be replacing it every year to stop it from spoiling the gearbox.
