Ademoyega will only regurgitate whatever BS, ifeajunna fed him to get him involved in the coup.
No, am asking you and your fellow igbos, would you still call it a "nigerian" coup, in view of how lopsided the victims were?
Would you label the July 1966 coup a “Nigerian” coup in view of how lopsided the victims were? 🤷

Ok, but these families are not in pain as a result of the actions of Yoruba and Northern military officers that participated in the January 1966 coup.

I like the way you reason. Keep it up.

Just look at all the military officers that invaded Ahmadu Bello’s house on that fateful day. They’re all Igbos abi? grin

Stop showing me nonsense record.

You have answered my question, and I am satisfied with your answer; your calculated effort to mislead the reader has been thwarted....so go and re-strategize....perhaps this next strategy will work....since you and your paymaster are here to propagate propaganda and mislead people

....I expected you to start a new thread about the soldiers who were killed by the coup. Let us see how far the thread goes.

I challenge you.

Where exactly is the propaganda?

Shocked at the number of non-Igbo military officers involved in an “Igbo” coup?

By the way, are the researchers from the University of Southern Florida, United States also propagandists for concluding the January 1966 coup was not an “Igbo” coup? 🤷

Lemme quicklly set the record straight before they started given wrong narrative. ....

Kaduna. Nzogwu was the soldier who led the team to the Premier Palace, as well as the team's commander. In fact, 80 percent of the names on the list were unaware of the operation to be carried out that day when Kaduna Nzogbwu summoned them for the Zombie Operation. The commander directed them to the Premier Palace on that fateful day for this deadly operation.

Because all of these people might show up.and be saying that it was not just Igbo soldiers that went to the premier palace to kill the premier...this is purely propaganda...those who know the truth..know.Kaduna Nzogniw led this deadly operation with his soldiers. However, the soldiers were unaware of the operation, and they only had to obey Kaduna Nzogbuw, the team's commander....
That's Correct!!

Ok, thanks for letting us know July 1966 was an anti-Igbo coup in retaliation to the Nigerian coup of January 1966.

January 1966 was a Nigerian coup undertaken by patriots sick and tired of the corruption in the first republic.

Certified by Wale Ademoyega, Segun Johnson, Max Siollun, the special branch report etc.

Yes o, Jan 15th 1966 coup was an (igbo) patriots, coup who murdered the leaders of other regions for corruption practices whilst conveniently shielding theirs and eventually, another igbo man took power and immediately started promulgating igbo-centric policies.

Incidentally, Major Donatus Okafor, one of the trio who conceived the coup (the other two being Major Ifeajunna and capt. Oji), was corrupt and was found guilty of stealing from his subordinates and would have been thrown out of the army but the magnanimity of Brig Maimalari, who he, Okafor was tasked to murder on that fateful day.

Anyway, what's your new found love for the Special branch report which until a few days ago, you were unaware of till i brought it to your attention? At the time, you discredited it and laughed it off but now , you swear by it.

Below is your dumb assertion about the northerners that "followed" nzegwe to murdered their sardunna.

The million dollar questions are: why were these soldiers who were mostly non-Igbos willing to follow Nzeogwu to eliminate their fellow northerner, rather than shoot down Nzeogwu for treason?

Were they disenchanted with Bello and the corruption of the politicians in the first republic? OR did they hold Nzeogwu in high regard and viewed him as revolutionary? Or a combination of both?

What a dumb question? The northerners were "maybe" , not happy with Bello and the sardunna's govt that they decided to follow an igbo man to have him killed! You however, micheviously forgot to mention that, one of the soldiers, a non-ibo who "followed" nzeogwu but however hesitated to follow Nzeogue's order was immediately, shot dead by him, even we were supposed to belive, Nzeogwu was unarmed.

You discredited the notion that after ifeajunna and okafor had murdered the PM and dumped his body by the roadside enroute to abeokuta, they headed for enugu where they met up with Okpara- the premier of eastern region, who was purportedly on house arrest ...............

And if you were following that thread without selective memory/reasoning, you would notice I established my position by corroborating with different historians. Max Siollun (Inside story of Nigeria), Wale Ademoyega (why we struck), Segun Johnson (In selected Nigerian problems).

If you can corroborate the bolded part I pointed out on the thread with other history reports/first hand accounts, then let’s have it.

For example, who saw Ifeajuna and the Eastern Premier together in Enugu after the coup in Lagos earlier that day? Was it the soldier that kept the eastern premier under house arrest? Did that soldier grant any interview you can provide us with? Basic logic and common sense approach before taking a position.

Well, unless you’re telling us you can hastily conclude by hearing just one part of the story 🤷

Besides it’s common sense.

By the way, how does this approach automatically translate to me discrediting the special branch report? 🤷

You started your leading question with the words, "why were they WILLING" to follow Nzegwu.....?" when we all know that they did not knowingly followed Nzeogwu to kill the sardunna unless you can prove that these non-ibos that you suggested, followed (Nzeogwu) did so, knowing beforehand that, they were enroute to murder the sardunna.

In that case, the Special branch Police (investigative) report must be wrong, then. Would the police have included this information in their report, if they know it was false? Why would they do that?

Not necessarily, until there’s corroborative evidence/first hand accounts of Ifeajuna visiting the Eastern Premier in Enugu on the same day after he was at the Lagos coup, then it’s a one sided stand alone account.

Moreover, Max Siollun mentioned the special branch report is extremely detailed, but contained errors “in some places.”

Doesn’t mean I have discredited the report altogether, as it contains truth which can be corroborated with other sources/first hand accounts.

In the post, posted by you below, you asked the question suggesting that the non-ibos soldiers willingly followed Nzeogwu to kill their fellow northerners. What proof do you have that, they were "willing" participants in the operation that saw to the death of ahmodu bello? If you can't come up with any verifiable proof, then your question is both dumb and mischief-laden with only one objective in mind and that's, to confuse the public.

Then you went further to suggest that, maybe these non-igbo soldiers were disenchanted with Bello, not Zik even though, they were in the same ruling govt. Or because they so respect Nzeogwu that they were willing to follow him to muder their own leaders. Or maybe, it's a combination of both. What made you inferred such? Did any northerner complain to you that they were unhappy with Bello's govt or that they believe, he is corrupt? Why then would you come up with such a stupid suggestion unless of course, you just want to disseminate more lies to buttress your D.O.A narrative that the Jan coup was not a juvenille plot by the igbos to grab power at the center.

Someone, once accused you of deliberately trying to mislead the forumites and you played, dumb. You definitely know what you are doing. Anyway, no amount of obfuscation by you and your irk can taint the truth.

Where you come from, is a question an expression of opinion? 🤷

And for the proof that soldiers willingly followed Nzeogwu - did you read through the screenshot I uploaded from Max Siollun’s work in previous post? 🤷

Let me guess, you pretended not to see it.
