This thing is very easy. Palmer should've scored by himself when he was put through on goal because he had that much time and space to do just that; so the first blame should go to him.

Since Palmer's poor judgment led him to pass the ball to Jackson, as a striker Jackson should've attempted to hit the ball with his left foot being a striker, so the second blame goes to him.

I do not share the same view on the use of Sanchez. I criticised Poch for playing Sanchez. I only said I understand the tactical reason behind using Sanchez.

I already apportioned the blame to both players in relation to the sequence of play.

If Palmer had taken his chances when he was through on goal and the defender was still trying to catch up with him, there wouldn't have been need for Chelsea to rely on a gutless striker like Jackson.

However, since Palmer didn't take his chance then Jackson should get his blame for failing to hit the ball with his weaker foot while being faced with an empty net. The moment he hesitated and wanted to get the ball on his stronger foot, he has fumbled and reduced his chance of scoring to the barest minimum.
