Residents of Abuja who are yet to have access to decent and affordable housing will soon sing a new song as one of the fastest growing real estate companies in the nation's capital, Toslad Group has launched a massive estate project that will boost living standards.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the estate to be known as Olumo (rock) took place at the new site at Apo Tafyi on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2025, amidst high attendance of top dignitaries in the housing sector.

Also in attendance include, traditional rulers, captains of industries, entertainers, entrepreneurs, business associates of the Toslad CEO, investors as well as well wishers from all works of life.

Welcoming his guests, the MD/CEO of Toslad Group, Ambassador Tosin Ladejobi said the new project when completed will be one of the best housing estates with state-of-the-art facilities for the satisfaction of subscribers.

He also explained the reason behind the choice of the project's name Olumo.

He said, "Some people will be surprised about the name Olumo. Olumo is from Olumo rock, you all know the destination point in Ogun State, I am from Ogun State, Ijebu to be precise, but I was born and bred up in Lagos.

"We know the story behind the Olumo rock where the Egba people used for their hiding place during the war. That is where the name Olumo came from."

He also broke the good news that Olumo by Toslad Estate offers Certificates of Occupancy from the FCDA, which means that people can buy and start building immediately.

Also speaking, the district head of Walo where the project is located, Chief Ambassador Sariki A. Ibrahim lauded the CEO of Toslad whom he described as a seasoned entrepreneur and a man of integrity for his steadfastness and resilience.

While expressing gratitude to the company for its decision to site the gigantic project in the community expressed hope that neighbouring villages will benefit from the development of Apo Tafyi community.

He also urged the company to consider employing some sons and daughters of the community as direct labour in order to give them access to economic opportunities.

The brand ambassadors praised the agility and courageous spirit of the Toslad group. They described the real estate sector of Nigeria as the new oil and gold in Nigeria’s economy.

Nollywood actor, Kelvin Ikeduba, one of the company's brand ambassadors while applauding the agility and courageous spirit of Toslad Group said real estate industry is a huge investment opportunity for anyone who wishes to secure his future, urging Abuja residents not to hesitate.

“I salute the courage of the CEO of Toslad Dr. Tosin Ladejobi who I respect so much for his intelligence, fearlessness and ability to take bold steps. Today we have laid the foundation of this amazing estate the Olumo by Toslad Estate here in Apo Tafyi. It is my desire that this project will meet the desired objectives", he prayed.

Yeah, that stopped me from patronizing them one time when their office was located at Apo.., they've moved to Durumi now... I just hope that they leave that habit behind in Apo.

If you're buying a land or house, avoid anything like AMAC. If it's not FCDA, don't deal.

Affordable housing to all these criminals in Abuja is ₦5,000,000 per year homes.

. Most of these developers are selling lands without basic infrastructures, roads, drainage, lights and recreational facilities. In other countries, an estate developer built and sells houses in partnerships with mortgage lenders, but here we do things in opposite directions.

The older estates like Sunny Vale, Sun City etc were well laid out and mostly still well maintained. The buyers paid development fees during construction and then maintenance charges thereafter.
